"You talk about Toni a lot... LIKE A LOT!!!" I said curiously "When am I gonna meet this guy, I mean he sounds like a bad guy the way you talk about him" Rebecca looked down to the sand at the swing-set at the park.
"Why don't we just go to his house he lives a few houses down from me" I nodded trying not to sound too excited. So we headed off "Can't wait to meet him you guys all say he looks a lot like me, he must look pretty good" I said as Rebecca rolled her eyes. As she knocked on the door for me I waited at the end of the driveway.
Rebecca came down the driveway, "Well he's not here let's walk back." I shrugged hoping I didn't look too disappointed, but I must have because a few seconds later Rebecca gave me the eyebrows. As we walked back to the park we were halfway there when we saw him.
At this point Rebecca starts laughing so hard and I join in, I figured that we were laughing a little bit too much for that situation, but the confused look on his face kept laughing more and more. "WHAT ARE YOU LAUGHING AT" he shouts. I finally stop laughing. "Oh, nothing."
"Hi, I'm Carter" I say. He nods, I laugh a little and we walk off. To my my surprise he starts to follow, "Do you need something" Rebecca asks and I almost feel the need to glare at her for being rude. "Nope, just heading to the park." said Toni
"Oh, us too" I said as Rebecca rolled her eyes for what seemed to be the millionth time she didn't seem to like this guy and I wanted to find out why.
We all walked together to the park, Toni following straight next to me beside the curb in the gutter. I felt something grab at my hand I looked over to him "What?" he asked obliviously as if he has no idea what I'm talking about. "Did you just grab my hand" I ask in shock that he would do that to someone he just met five minutes ago.
"Wow Toni have some decency!" Rebecca says as she glares at him walking back wards in front of us as Toni and I walk to the sidewalk area. "Ok first of all I grabbed no body's hand, secondly if anyone should have decency it's you Rebecca" He said and I couldn't help but laugh.
Rebecca glared at him then at me and started walking forwards instead of backwards still slightly in front of us. They seemed to have some sort of conflict going on that I sure didn't want to get caught in the middle of.
After what seems like hours of walking because of the high intensity of awkwardness we finally get to the park. "Let's go to the swing set" Toni continued "Oh, and since Rebecca is such a baby she could sit in the baby swing."
"Wow you're really childish and who said we were here to hang out with you" She said and I let out a sound something between a low scream and a high squeak and Toni smirked. "Whatever you two love birds do whatever you want" my cheeks flushed and I slapped her arm
"Ow" she screamed. "Hey we went over to his house so I could meet him" I said. "Hold up you guys went over to my house?" I nodded as i saw Rebecca face palm in the corner of my eye accidentally getting her purple lipstick printed on her hand.
We both laugh and suddenly Toni rushes behind me and grabs my hand "Hide me" he says panicky, before I know what's happening Rebecca calls out to a girl passing by and waves for her to come over here with us "Brittany!" She screamed. "Really" he shouts.
The girl comes up to the castle we are on from behind where Toni is clearly visible her expression changes from neutral to mad. I wonder why, then I looked down and remember Toni grabbed my hand for reasons that are beyond me.
I swiftly shake my hand away, but it was too late she had already seen. "Uhm...." Brittany continues "Well is this sad excuse for a rebound." She said what! Rebecca and I look to each other I break our gaze and ran at her.
Right before I reached her Toni held me back. "What did you just say to my best friend?" Rebecca yelled. Oh no you do not want to make an enemy out of Rebecca, mess with her is one thing but mess with her friends she will just about murder you.
"Did I stutter?" Brittany yells at me. Toni lets go of me and I charged at Brittany again. This time Rebecca grabbed me " Oh, come on, not again" as Toni laughs lightly. "You know what, let her go" Toni says looking to Rebecca as I am still viciously try to escape her grasp.
"Go ahead that little thing cant't hurt me" which I found ironic since I seemed to be two times taller than this girl. Rebecca shrugged letting me go, and it all happened so fast. In a flash i punched her square in the nose then bit my lip holding back tears from the pain in my hand
"OH MY GOD!" Toni and Rebecca said at the same time "Are you ok?" he yelled after Rebecca said the same. "Yeah" Brittany replied holding one hand to her nose. "No, not you Carter's hand", he said inspecting it "It's purple!" he yelled
"It's just a bruise, I'm fine" I said still biting my lip from the immense pain. We looked back and Brittany was no longer there. "She must have ran away, man I cant believe you did that, that was so cool" Rebecca exclaimed.
"Let's go back to my house and grab pizza" Toni said already walking instead of waiting for an answer. "I swear all you ever eat is pizzas." He shrugs and we all start walking.
