"I'm really sorry, _____,"

A sob.

How many apologies had you heard already? How many times had they said 'sorry' to you? How many times had you told them to leave you alone for now?

You didn't know. You didn't care.

"I-It was a mistake..."

You felt sorry for her sure, but still you felt betrayed. And that was far greater than any sympathy you could ever have for her.

"I trusted you..." your voice lacked emotion. You were tired. You didn't want to deal with them for now. For all you care, they could just go multiply and live happily ever after.

"But ____, believe me. I didn't want this--"

"Shuzo will take responsibility, don't worry. He's all yours now," you smiled bitterly. The action hurt. Since when did smiling hurt this much?

Of all the people who could've waited for you to your apartment... Why her? Not talking for now surely would be more beneficial for you. You don't get to see her damn face while she doesn't get too stressed out with your cold treatment. See? It's a win-win situation.

"What? Y-You can't possibly think I'd throw everything away for him-"

"Who knows?" you cut her off wishing to end the conversation as soon as possible.

"Are you serious?" she looked hurt. Offended even.

"Look here, I'm tired of dealing with you so please--"

"You know me better than that, _____!" she took a step towards you.

Then why did you do it? You wanted to say. I thought you were better than that.

"Do I really?" you didn't know what to think anymore. Two important persons in your life betrayed you... Unintentionally, they both say. Were you supposed to simply just forgive and forget?

"______," she reached out to you but you just swatted her hand away.

"Don't touch me!"

"______, please listen to me--" you didn't hear her next words anymore. You just walked past her wanting to go upstairs and lock yourself in your apartment. However, she didn't seem to approve of what you want as she caught your arm before you could get past her.

"Please, _____, this is hard for me, you know?"

You shook her off and felt your eyes water. Hard for her? How about you? All those years of suffering for Shuzo got wasted because of their stupid mistake! And to think that it was her... and... You didn't even want to think about it anymore.

"Then you should've thought before you screwed with Shuzo!" you unintentionally raised your voice. She looked surprised with your outburst. Well, it's more surprising that she's surprised...

You then saw Shuzo stand behind her. Great. Now there's the pair... Did they talk to come torture you emotionally the same day?

"Why are you even here, Shuzo?" you hissed emphasizing the contempt you had as you uttered his name.

He just looked at you, but his eyes shifted to the ground just a second after. Shuzo couldn't even look into your eyes for more than a second anymore. Too guilty perhaps?

"I..."

"No, actually just shut up because I don't care with whatever shit you want to say."
