Dusk

I opened my eyes slowly picking myself up off the ground. My vision was still blurry, making my head hurt. I stumbled a bit still staying up on my feet and I shook my head a little, trying to get my vision to focus. As soon as my eyes came into focus I saw a sword right in front of me that was going to go right into my abdomen. My eyes widened and I flipped back landing on my hands, almost slipping in the mud. Then I pushed up springing to my feet again. The sword that was coming at me was now lodged in the ground, a tall man holding the hilt. He pulled the sword from the ground and  attacked me again. I pulled out my daggers from their seethe and crossed them to block the sword. I now remembered what was going on. I was in the marsh outside of my kingdom, Almania. I was scouting with a group of men; we were ambushed. By those stupid Crystalians. The man swung at me again, I simply stepped to the side and stuck my leg out, swinging it towards his legs. He ran right into my foot; he fell over onto the muddy ground. I jumped onto his back and stabbed my dagger into his skull. With one last twitch he went still and I looked around the "battle field". There were some people laying on the ground. I didn't know if they were alive or dead. I could see that some Crystalians were dead with arrows in their backs and heads. When I was not paying attention, Something or someone hit me from behind and I stumbled forward. I was confused then instantly got my balance back and turned around just to get a punch in the face. I stumbled back and flipped my dagger in my hand to get a better grip on it while I regained my balance. I looked at a man. He looked almost my height, a little bit taller, he had a hood over his head and his face was covered with what looked like scarf. It covered his mouth and hid most of his features like the hood did. All you could see was his stunning dark blue eyes. I was slightly caught off guard from how.. How do I put this.. Intense? that he looked? I don't know. But it did surprise me. He had hatred shining in those eyes of his, I glared at him and he held a blue green sword. It looked so enchanting but also looked dangerous. It was a double sided blade, totally cool and awesome. But for me where he is going try and kill me with it, I am not amused so much by it. He lunged at me swinging his sword expertly. I quickly moved out of the way and grabbed onto his hood. I heard him grunt and make a small gag sound because it pulled down on his throat. I spun and threw him onto the ground. He tripped me and I fell right beside him. I scrambled and he tackled me down we struggled and fought around getting muddy and dirty. Soon enough he had me pinned down and I kicked around, unable to break free. He looked down angry but something was a bit different from before. I looked back slightly calming down but soon after that there was a horn. The Crystalians were retreating. The boy jumped back up to his feet and started backing up and turned running off. I got up to my feet and yelled, "I will find you Crystalian! And kill you all! You murderers! Killers! And traitors!" They all ran. I went off and found all my men, some injured and only two dead. We got the strongest men to bring the dead back and we were all full of mud, tired, and angry. That's not a good mix for us. We entered the kingdom of Almania and instantly everyone came to see what happened. What was I going to tell the Queen...?
