You could feel her energy from miles away, but you could never hear her coming.
The door to my office creaked, her bright green and gold eyes peering in. They exuded electricity. She pushed the door all the way open, her small frame making the entrance look much larger. Her deep, dirty blonde hair cascaded down to just above her subtle hips. Her jawline was as sharp as the day she came to me, yet it showed more emotion.
Leanne was unlike anything the Mood Goddess had ever created. So dark. So cunning. So purposeful. Her small body moved with the grace of a flowing river as she moved to sit on the armrest of my chair. She smelled of blood and woods, as would be per usual after a killing. "Ohera is done." She said curtly, looking at her nails. "I assume you had no issues with it?" At this she smirked, a prideful grin stretching across her lean face. "What do you think?" She turned her head to me, looking at me directly. Dark sarcasm danced on her facial expression as her eyes beamed. The gold surrounding her pupil seemed to be casted by the gods, with the green of emeralds taking up the rest of her iris. I chuckled slightly. "Absolutely not."
Leanne was far more powerful than anyone could have ever estimated. She was no werewolf, yet her agility and strength far surpassed mine. She is a kind all her own. I have only ever witnessed her strengths in battle once, and I fear for the wolf who dares to take her on. The way her eyes shown solid gold. The faint, evil smile that bestowed her face. The way she giggled every time she made another cut into the alpha. The memory will haunt me forever. And yet, I knew that was only a fraction of her power. But for a woman of her size to be able to seamlessly bring alphas to their knees, begging for death, without even batting an eye, is the most terrifying of all. But in that way, she served her purpose well.
"Where is the next pack?" She asked, looking back at her nails, inspecting her cuticles. I sighed. "We have to wait, the alpha of the West is there currently. We can't attack at such a time." "Why not? Let me have a little fun. These small packs are boring me." I sighed, slumping in my chair. "You can't do that Leanne and you know it." She rolled her eyes. "If you won't let me, then I'm going to scout for myself. I won't pull anything, just get a taste of what's to come." She licked her lips in anticipation. Before I could respond, she stood and left, closing the door behind her.
I relaxed, not even noticing I had tensed up. But such action can't be helped around the likes of her. The weight of my deal made my heart feel like rocks. Leanne had been created, not born. For the entirety of my ruling as alpha of the East, we had been suppressed and under the mercy of the West. Previously, an alpha below my reign had taken the Luna of a pack from the west, and war broke out, festering like an open wound. We fell under the West's crushing strength, and have struggled to keep from losing the war. At least, until Leanne came. But she was sent at no small price. I made a deal directly with the moon goddess, begging for some way to overcome the West and return the East to power. She created Leanne, not a werewolf, but a monster. The minute she stepped foot on my territory I felt the winds change, and the earth recoil from her touch. Her eyes showed nothing but the instinct to kill. She was undoubtedly stronger than any wolf we had, including me. But she fought for us and did our dirty work, as she continues to do now.
Leanne is our hope left to win this war.
