The Peterson Group, and laptop peripherals in Taiwan is concerned in gaining profits but health and wellbeing of our customers is our primary priority. To prove this, the company has launched an awareness campaign among our last December 22, 2015 which, as we are proud to report, has been a success thanks to the participation of dozens of active retailers and concerned individuals from around the archipelago. The Peterson Group plans to hold same seminar in Taiwan and Malaysia.

Why are we fervently campaigning on the dangers of usage anyway?

According to experts, ninety one percent of adults and sixty percent of teens in the Asia Pacific region own at least one mobile phone. The ratio of device accessories over human beings is also 3:1 which shows total domination of electronics in today's modern era. Although it is a cause to celebrate in the increase of revenue in mobile economy, it is nothing to be proud of when we look at the health perspective.

Whether you own an Android, an iPhone, a Blackberry, or a basic flip phone, chances are you check your phone for messages, alerts, or calls even when your mobile device isn't ringing or vibrating. The average human being is reviewed to spend 144 minutes on their phones each day. Students and young adults spend more than that. If not texting or chatting using different social media platform, they may be using their phones to listen to music or watch a movie.

While mobile devices are easier way to connect with friends or spend a personal hour alone, doctors warn of health implications brought by over exposure to mobile phones. For instance, researchers have found that within two hours, millions of bacteria can multiply in your ear canal while you are using headphones. Needless to say, increase in volume can also damage our hearing capabilities.

According to further warnings conducted by World Health Organization (WHO), "mobile phones use transmitting radio waves through a series of base stations where radiofrequency waves are electromagnetic fields that cannot break chemical bonds or cause ionization in the human body".

The rampant usage of fraud accessories is also causing health implications. A woman in her early 20s was found dead on her bed with half of her face green. Her headphones were still stuck on her ears. According to reports, she was charging with a substandard charger while listening to music and fell asleep.
