Big Time Love Story

Chapter 6

I was awakened by the smell of bacon and a very loud argument.
CARLOS: "That piece is mine!"
JAMES: "No! It's mine!"
I quickly got up and ran to the kitchen where I spotted the last piece of bacon. I grabbed it and shoved it in my mouth before the boys could protest.
KENDALL: "Actually, I think it's Lilly's..."
He chuckled.
KENDALL: "So, Lil what are you doing today?"
ME: "Not sure but 1st, I'm going to get dressed. Be back in an hour."
I ran out of the boys' apartment and into mine. I went to my closet and searched for an outfit. Eventually I went for the brooding bad girl look. I then did my makeup and put my hair in a side ponytail. I checked myself in the mirror then walked back to the boys' apartment. As soon as I walked in I got stares from each of the boys.
ME: "What? Do I look bad?"
They shook their heads.
ME: "You guys are dorks."
Katie walked in and took a glance at me then smacked the guys.
KATIE: "Nice look. It suits you. I think the boys agree too."
She laughed and I laughed too.
KATIE: "So are we going pranking today?"
JENNIFER: "You are not pranking anyone young lady. You are to stay here while I go job hunting. Lilly you don't mind watching her again do you?"
I smiled.
ME: "Course not. Katie's great."
JENNIFER: "Thank you so much. Oh! Before I forget, boys, Gustavo called. He needs you at the studio at 3."
They nodded and Jennifer left. I turned to Katie and smirked.
ME: "What pranks should we pull first?"
She smiled and ran to her room. I turned to the boys who were still in their pajamas.
ME: "BOYS! Go get ready! It's 12 and you need to be out of here by 2:30. NOW GO!"
The boys quickly ran to their rooms and I laughed. 'This babysitting stuff isn't that bad!' Katie came back a few minutes later with supplies.
KATIE: "Ok, I have string, silly string, bubble wrap, toothpaste, feathers, glue, inching powder, hair dye, instant rubber cement, plastic wrap, and whoopee cushions."
She looked at me smiling.
ME: "Nice! How about we leave the string, bubble wrap, toothpaste, feathers, glue, and hair dye here so we came prank the boys when they leave for the studio?"
She grinned.
KATIE: "Perfect."
She took the inching powder, instant rubber cement, plastic wrap, silly string, and whoopee cushions out of her box then took the box back to her room. As soon as she disappeared into her room Kendall and Carlos walked into the living room. They took one look at the stuff and looked at me with confusion.
ME: "Katie and I are going downstairs to prank Bitters and some of the guests."
KENDALL: "But mom said no pranks."
ME: "I'm a babysitter but I'm a fun one. I like pranks as much as the next person and Katie's like the little sister I never had."
He nodded. Katie came back out with a backpack and an all black outfit on.
ME: "Nice outfit Katie. Ready to get your prank on?"
KATIE: "So far you are like the best babysitter my mom has had."
ME: "Thanks. Now pack up the pranks and lets make a plan."
She packed everything into the backpack then we sat at the table to make a plan.
ME: "So, I was thinking that the plastic wrap could go on the toilets and doors in the lobby restrooms. I have clear strong hold glue to make sure the wrap sticks."
KATIE: "Nice! And then we put the whoopee cushions under the cushions of the lobby chairs."
ME: "Of course. The instant rubber cement could go either in the pool or the hot tub."
KATIE: "Let's put the instant rubber cement in the hot tub. I wanna go swimming later."
I nodded. At that moment Logan walked out and heard us planning.
LOGAN: "What are you guys talking about?"
ME: "Should we let him in on it?"
KATIE: "I guess."
I nodded and turned to Logan.
ME: "Katie and I are going to go prank Bitters and the guests. So far we have whoopee cushions under the seat cushions, plastic wrap on the doors and toilets of the bathrooms, and instant rubber cement in the hot tub."
LOGAN: "Dang! Can I help?!"
ME: "Sure. You can plastic wrap the guys room."
Logan nodded earning gasps from Kendall and Carlos. I gave them a look.
CARLOS: "Logan being bad?"
LOGAN: "Guys, I'm just having a bit of fun before we have to go to work. Plus if I help with pranks maybe they won't prank me."
KENDALL: "Good point. Katie what do you need help with?"
KATIE: "You could do the whoopee cushions."
He nodded.
ME: "Carlos, you'll be the look out. If Bitters decides to try and ruin the fun, send him my way after giving me a warning."
Carlos nodded and we walked out of the apartment and into the elevator. Once we got to the bottom floor, I got an idea.
ME: "Katie, give me the plastic wrap."
She handed it to me.
ME: "Logan, Kendall make sure the elevator doesn't shut."
The nodded and held one side each. I opened the plastic wrap and took out my strong hold clear glue. I stepped into the elevator and glued the wrap to one side. Then I stretched it and ripped it, gluing the other side.
KENDALL: "How are you going to get out?"
I smiled and carefully climbed under the wrap.
ME: "Like that. Ok close it. The next time someone tries using the elevator, they'll be forced to use the stairs. The trick to my clear glue is the hold only loosens with water. My own creation."
KATIE: "Nice!"
We walked into the lobby where there were a lot of guests but no Bitters. I smirked.
ME: "Carlos, go sit by the entrance and watch for Bitters. Text me if there's trouble."
He nodded and walked off. Katie handed the whoopee cushions to Kendall and he quickly went to work. Luckily no one was sat down yet. I gave the wrap to Logan and he went to do the men's room. That left the instant rubber cement and the itching powder.
KATIE: "Let's do the rubber cement first. I have a plan to get them out of the hot tub."
I nodded and followed Katie. I stood by the pool while she walked a bit farther away.
KATIE: "OMG IS THAT LILLY GRACE THE FAMOUS YOUTUBER?! LET'S GET HER AUTOGRAPH!"
Everyone from the pool and hot tub came over to me. I was forced to sign everything they threw at me until Katie gave me a thumbs up.
ME: "Ok guys sorry but I have to go."
I quickly ran into the lobby and got a text from Carlos.
C: Bitters is walking towards the bathroom and Logan isn't out yet.
I quickly ran to Bitters.
ME: "Mr. Bitters!"
He stopped and looked at me.
BITTERS: "What are you troublemakers up to?"
ME: "Nothing."
BITTERS: "Sure. I'm going to see what's going on."
I quickly waved $200 in his face. He snatched it then walked back to his desk. I smirked and ran back to Katie. Kendall walked up.
KENDALL: "Whoopee cushions are in place."
ME: "Good. Kendall, go see how Logan's doing. Katie come with me. I need you to sneak into Bitters office and put itching powder everywhere."
She nodded and I went to talk to Bitters.
ME: "Mr. Bitters, I think somethings wrong with the hot tub, I tried getting in earlier but I couldn't get in at all. It was really weird. Could you go fix it please?"
He nodded and walked away. As he walked, I snatched his office keys from him. I handed them to Katie and she ran into his office. A few seconds later she was out and I heard Bitters yell.
BITTERS: "WHO IN THE WORLD PUT RUBBER CEMENT IN THE HOT TUB?! KATIE KNIGHT!!!"
ME: "Everybody run! Get upstairs fast!"
We all took off at a sprint for the elevator. There were people trying to get past the plastic wrap. Then fart noises were heard in the background. Katie and I laughed as we ran up the stairs. By the time we got upstairs it was 2:40. James was sitting on the couch when we ran in. He looked at us.
JAMES: "Finally! Where were you guys? We need to leave for the studio."
ME: "Can't use the elevator. We plastic wrapped that."
LOGAN: "We may wanna use our bathroom as well. The lobby bathrooms are wrapped."
KENDALL: "And most importantly until Buddha Bob finds his jackhammer and gets all the cement out of the hot tub we can't use it."
We all started laughing. The boys got ready and left. It was just me and Katie now.
ME: "Now for the prank student to get a lesson from the teacher."
KATIE: "Cool. Who's first?"
ME: "James."
She nodded and ran to get her box. When she came back she set it on the couch.
ME: "The boys thought that if they helped, we wouldn't prank them. Turns out they couldn't have been more wrong. Katie, go to the bathroom and get James's shampoo and conditioner."
She ran and grabbed it. I took it from her. I walked to the sink and opened both bottles. I emptied half the contents of both into the sink then carefully rinsed the sink out.
ME: "Hand me your pink hair dye."
She did and smiled.
KATIE: "Nice color choice. Very James."
I smiled. I opened the box and put the gloves on. I mixed the ingredients together then poured half of the pink hair dye into the shampoo bottle and half of the hair dye into the conditioner bottle. I put the lids back on then had Katie put them back. To then cover up my tracks, I used the rest of the hair dye to dye my hair.
KATIE: "Good cover up. Pink is definitely your color. Now they'll think you dyed your hair and that that's the reason there's left over garbage."
ME: "Yup. Next we do Carlos. Go get me his helmet."
She nodded and ran to Carlos's room. She came back with his new shiny black helmet. I opened the silly string and strayed every bit into his helmet. She then went and put it back.
KATIE: "Next Logan."
I nodded. I grabbed the string, glue, and feathers. I walked to Logan's room and Katie followed. I opened the door and looked around. I sat the feathers and glue down. I attached one end of the string to the door knob.
ME: "Katie hold the string."
I handed her the string and I grabbed Logan's desk chair and the feathers. I set the chair below the ceiling fan then climbed up. I put the feathers on the top part of the fan then took the string from Katie. I rigged a trap with the string so that when Logan closed his door, the string would make the fan spin. Then I went and grabbed Logan's pajamas and put clear glue everywhere on them. After we were done, I carefully followed Katie out of his room.
ME: "Last but not least, Kendall."
I grabbed the bubble wrap and toothpaste. I went to the kitchen and grabbed a pack of Oreos with Kendall's name on them.
ME: "You replace the middle of every cookie with toothpaste. I'm going to go bubble wrap Kendall's room.
