Vincent's p.o.v

Jaya's question startled me.

I thought about Ashely, I pitied her for a moment. But then I started thinking about all of hat she made me go through.

I instantly knew my answer.

"No." I ended with a smile.

I noticed Jaya started to blush and she looked adorable. I don't know what went through me, but I clearly wasn't thinking right.

"You look cute."

My eyes got big when I realized what I just said. Streaks of red got on my cheeks, I felt embarrassed.

Jaya's p.o.v

Oh gosh. I think I have a tiny crush on him. Okay, maybe just a little more than tiny. I couldn't help it what isn't to love about Vinny? He's basically flawless. It wasn't until Vinny was looking at me weirdly. Until I realized I was in my own world.

"Thanks."

I said, trying to play it cool. But inside I was just frisking out. I haven't liked anybody, ever since my ex-boyfriend, Ethan- a total jerk. I was taking a break from love, but I will admit I do like Vinny. I don't know why, but I remember something I didn't want to remember.

*FlashBack*

It was summer 2012 and I was with my boyfriend Ethan at the beach.

"Did you know that I love you?"

Ethan said to me, holding my hand as we stared at the sea. I look towards him and nod. We were only thirteen. There was awkwardness in that night, but it wasn't a bad silence. It was a good, comfortable one.

I really did love Ethan, I did. I knew we were young, but he was faithful, and he never hurt me.

I squeezed his hand. We ate at the pier and went to shops. As the moonlight grew we waded our feet in the ocean. We both had no idea what was going to happen later that night.

* End of Flashback *

I shivered at the thought. Wasn't I trying to forget? Wasn't I trying to make that memory go away? Isn't it the bright side of moving to New Jersey? I wanted to cry. Scream out. I opened my mouth but all you heard was silence. I pushed the thought away.

Vincent's p.o.v

I looked at Jaya. Her mouth was slightly open and she looked like she wanted to say something, but she didn't. It looked as of she was in a deep thought. What was she thinking about? I wanted know but I just didn't want to ask her. So I just studied her features. Her hazel eyes, straight brown hair Her skin sun-kissed, her lips plump an pearly white teeth.

She was perfect.

Jaya and I were in both a deep thought. Startled, I got a text. I flinched and she noticed, than giggle. I predicted it would be from Jaelyn, Nick, or Bianca. But no. I was totally wrong. I froze and just looked at the phone. The name that popped up and read Ashely.

What did she want? I didn't reply. Maybe she would just accept the fact and leave me alone. I turned towards Jaya and smiled.

"Who was that?" She asked me.
