The Bad Boy, Chocolate and Me...

Chapter 3-

I’ve been sobbing for what seems like forever but in reality I haven’t been crying for long. The ‘thing’ is still behind me breathing down on my neck... Creepy! If I could I would probably go all ninja on its ass... that is if it has an ass. I laugh in my head and start to calm down from all the crying but I’m so scared that it’s going to eat me...

I feel A finger brush past by hands and legs and suddenly I can move again, I go to turn around to face the ‘thing’ but it’s not there... strange. I can feel someone watching me. This is so scary! I feel like I’m in one of those horror movies where there’s an innocent girl and she opens the front door and the killers there, but this feels different. I don’t think the ‘thing’ wants to hurt me, otherwise the ‘thing’ wouldn’t have released me and I probably would be dead already.

I can’t see anything because its pitch black but I know I’m near a waterfall and I don’t know where my mother is. Looks like I’m stuck here until daylight. I sit down and slowly drift off to dream land.

*flashback*

‘Happy 7th Birthday Max!” my mother said while placing a Batman cake in front of me “Blow the candles out and make a wish Max.” My mum said in a sweet loving voice. ‘I wish that I knew who my dad is, I really do,

“Done mummy, can we play a game now?” I asked mummy.

 

“Sorry honey, Mummy has to go to work, Miss Robson is going to look after you for the rest of the day, be a good girl for mummy! Love You Maxine” mummy says.

 

“Hello Maxine” Miss Robson says to me.

 

“H-hello” I say quietly

 

“We are going to the forest today and we are going to play hide and seek.” She tells me and I just node my little head and my long jet black hair hanging down my little back.

 

“I’ll hide and you seek,” Miss Robson says and she runs off leaving me in the forest all by myself. I spend hours trying to find my way out but I’m lost, scared and I feel as if someone is watching me.

 

Then my big bright blue eyes scan the area and I blink twice when I Come face to face with a very tall man with black eyes and black hair he’s dressed in all black and look really scary. I start running trying to get away from this man but he is too fast and my little legs won’t last much longer, it sucks being a young seven year old.

 

“Maxine I’m not going to hurt you, I am your fathers best friend Luke, he sent me to help you get back to safety and it’s my duty to look out for you until your 18th birthday.”

*end of flashback*

 

I woke up the next morning thinking about the dream I just had, that happened on my seventh birthday. Thinking about that day Luke rescued me from the forest.

It feels like I am repeating the day of my seventh birthday all over again, except my baby sitter didn’t abandon me in the forest this time... I don’t even know how I got here...

I walked to the water fall and washed my face. Maybe Luke will come and help me. He did say that he would.

I decide that I am going to follow the waterfall trail down the mountain and hopefully find a road or a small town.

I’ve been following the track for hours now, I’m starting to feel dizzy and my legs feel like they are just going to collapse to the ground at any minute.

It still feels like something is watching me... and every now and again I hear the snap of a branch, but that’s about all.

My legs give out from under me and I fall to the ground. I try to get up but I’m just too exhausted, so I decide to just stay there and rest for a while.  I fall into a deep slumber.

When I wake up I’m in a room. Not my room. The walls are light blue and I’m lying on a king size bed. How the fuck did I get here? I was in the forest when I fell asleep and now I’m in a friggen bed! I need to get out of here! I get up off the bed and run to the window. Crap I’m in a two story house! How am I going to get down from up here? I look too my right then my left looking for a door. It’s on the left, I tiptoe to the door making sure I’m making no loud noises and I slowly turn the door handle.
