'Hey girl, open the walls, play with your dolls, we'll be a perfect family,'

A girl by the age of 15 sits in front of an old and beaten up dollhouse. She slid one of her slender, pale fingers down the side of the roof of the house.

She remembers how much she used to love playing with this very dollhouse which was bought for her when she was very young from her great grandmother.

Her great grandmother had died from old age a couple of years ago, she had lived a long life. She was a beautiful woman and she was also one of the kindest as well. It saddened Scarlett very much when she had passed away that day. This dollhouse was the only thing she had left to remind her of her grandmother.

Oh right, the girls name still hasn't been mentioned yet. Her name is Scarlett, Scarlett Rose. She had long, straight jet black hair and greyish green coloured eyes.

She was a very polite teen who had pretty high grades and was quite a popular girl at school, due to how rich she was. Despite her popularity, she only has two close friends by the names of  Eve and Will, who she trusts the most out of all the other fake-ish teenagers at their school.

She lived in a not-so-overly-large mansion on the west side of her town, where it's mainly quiet. She lived with her mother, father and her 17 year old older brother, Damian.

You could say that Scarlett's family wasn't the greatest, but don't all families have their ups and downs?

Scarlett has experienced more than she would have liked to in the past few years of her life. What she has seen and heard had ruined her innocence at a very young age, which now makes her quite a pessimist.

She hasn't told a single soul about any of the events that had occurred in the past few years, knowing that no one would believe her because people don't see what really goes on when they aren't there to experience it. Another reason of keeping these events a secret, is that she is scared of what might come of her and what will happen to her family and how she would be treated by her mother and father.

Her brother Damian didn't really pay attention to Scarlett in her younger years, but slowly not long ago, he is finally starting to form some sort of brother-sister relationship with her.

Speaking of which, Damian had walked through Scarlett door while she was having a little moment.

"You 'kay there lil sis?" He asks her with a lazy smile. Scarlett being suspicious, took a closer look at Damian. His raven coloured hair was in a mess and his usually hazel eyes were quite red and glassy like. She knew what that meant.

"I'm alright, but shouldn't I be asking you that question," Scarlett answers him.

"Nah, why?" He replied and smirked quite maliciously at his sister.

"Because you don't look too well..."

"I promise you I'm juuuust fiiiiine!" The glint in his eyes made Scarlett wince a little, knowing if she angers him too much in this state, she'd be done for, due to previous events.

The only thing she knew is to never, ever, ever ask him ever again, if he's been smoking while he's high on something. It also wasn't a good idea accidentally walking in on him while he's smoking or taking a drug of some sort.

"Okay I see... Where's mum?" Scarlett says desperately trying to change the subject.

"Uh, I think she went grocery shopping or somethin'," he says while Scarlett inwardly sighs thanking God that she successfully changed the subject. "I'm gonna go now, you go back to what you see doing. I just wanted to check on ya!" He winks and clicks his finger and closes Scarlett's bedroom door. He had quite the big mood swings when he was high.

Scarlett looked back at her dollhouse and decided to put it back on her top shelf, in its usual place, before one of her parents get home and start questioning her.
