Kendal POV
"I really am gonna miss you" I say as I bury myself deeper into his t-shirt inhaling his scent. " I'll miss you too babe" he says into my hair we were in his bedroom watching a movie on his laptop a day before he was moving to Arizona.

"You know we never talked about how were gonna do long distance" Ryan and I had been dating for 8 months. Ever since the end of freshman year. " long distance?" He says sounding surprised. Too surprised for my liking.

"Yeah" I say sitting up a little too look at his face he's not meeting my eyes. " look Kendall I think that after I move maybe we should you know end this" he says sighing.  " Ryan you can't be serious so you want me to forget this entire 8 months" I say as my eyes start tearing.

" look Kendall baby I'm moving to a different state I can't be tied down haven't you heard the saying out of sight out of mind that probably will happen to us and I don't want one of us to do something we'll regret." He says running his fingers through his curly hair.

"I know I won't do something I'll regret don't you" I say not holding back a tear from rolling. When he stays silent I grab my stuff to leave not wanting to cry in front of him. He grabs my arm to stop me from leaving " I don't want to hurt you babe I'm sorry just finish the movie with me"

" you already did have fun single in Arizona" I say getting out of grip and storming down the stairs I stop walking halfway waiting for him to bust through the door coming after me but it never came.

Present time
I pull my messy blonde hair into a knot at the top of my head as I repeat the steps over and over again as I move across the room it was free period before our first period of the day and I always spent it in the dance studio. It was my release,my happy place. I was singing a song in my he's and practicing my routine when the door busts open.

My crazy best friend Tory walks in out of breath and screams my name like she hasn't seen me in ages.  " what?" I say laughing at her crazy appearance. " Kendall there's a new guy in school and apparently he's super hot" she says waving her hand by her face or effect. " and this concerns me because?"  I say entertaining the situation. " cause Kends you need a boyfriend you've been single for like ever" and here it was Tory is always trying to set me up.

Her boyfriend Karim and her have been dating for 6 months and she is constantly trying to set me up so I can stop third wheeling. "Tory not again ive had enough of your crazy matchmaking you've been doing that since I met you." Tory and I have been friends since January of sophomore year we immediately clicked when I saw someone fall in the hallway and laughed so hard my stomach hurt the thing was I wasn't the only one laughing she was right next to me laughing her ass off too we became best friends after that.

"come on you need to shower up before your future boyfriend sees you looking like a sweaty gorilla" she says grabbing my dance bag and pushing me towards the bathrooms " heyyyyy" I whine as she tells me that ill thank her later.

One shower and a wrestle with my hair brush later me and tory are walking down the hallway as a breeze comes by I clutch onto my jean jacket as I walk into my first period. Me and Tory sit by each other in the back of the classroom in our usual seats as the late bell rings. The entire class quiets when Mr. Johnson starts his lesson in the middle of class I hear the door open not even thinking about I keep sneaking my phone to go on Instagram. "Your late Mr..... Louis hmmm not the best way to get your welcome back huh." Mr. Johnson says the edge in his voice. Welcome back? has he been here before? " thanks Francis but call me Ryan" the voice, the name oh no this cant be. I hesitantly lift me head and meet eyes with the boy I know too well we both sit there shocked but he reacts first and turns his head away.
