"Come on Celine, we're gonna miss the fireworks.." "Coming!" Faster than a jack rabbit, I raced down the stairs, missing a step and landing on my face in front of my brother. "A-are you okay?" I peeled my now red nose off the carpet, seeing him trying not to laugh. "S-shut up!" I quickly stood and began to punch him in the stomach, though it didn't do much. "That barely even tickles." I felt my cheeks flame. "Here Rudolph." He handed me a handkerchief, watching me wipe the blood from my nose. "You missed a spot." He grabbed the now red cloth from my hands, pressing it against my chin and scrubbing the fresh blood from pale flesh. "There." He smiled, his eyes holding the same look they always had, silent joy.

"Let's go! Like you said, we'll miss the fireworks if we don't hurry!" Grabbing his warm hands, I pulled him through the front door and dashed towards our bikes. Chuckling echoed behind me as he got onto his bike. "You're such a klutz you know." I shook my head. "You are too!" He laughed, beginning to pedal before I could even get on mine. "W-wait up!" Swinging my foot over the seat, I set them onto the plastic bars, starting to push. The tires began to move, helping me catch up to him. "Look, they're starting." I looked up, the explosions rang with every color that bursted, echoing through out the town. "W-wow..." We stopped at the park, the little pond reflecting the bright lights and painting a perfect picture for the ducks. The explosions shaped from circles, to hearts, cards, then flowers. "They're beautiful aren't they?" I nodded, watching as he sat down in the grass, patting the spot next to him. "Come." I immediately plopped down in the green plants, leaning against his shoulder and feeling his warmth.

"Celine.."

"Yes?"

"You're a lot like these fireworks.."

I looked at him, seeing he was still watching.

"How so?"

He looked at me, ignoring the colors that lit up his face.

"You always are bursting with different colors. I never know which one comes next."

He smiled.

"You're usually happy, but it can turn to shyness, sadness, hatred, anger, or disgust in any moment. Know one knows what you'll bring once you begin to be yourself."

"Do you want me to change?"

He flustered, shaking his head thoroughly.

"Never."

His hands placed themselves on my shoulders, gripping them toughly.

"Promise me, you'll never stop being those fireworks, always keep surprising me, everyone! I want to keep seeing you grow up, I want to see what kind of women you'll be once you reach my age."

My cheeks heated up, he was right, I was really happy, then confused, now I'm just plain bashful.

"Promise me!"

I jumped.

"O-okay..I promise big brother that I'll stay the way I am forever!"

He smiled more.

"Even if I'm not here?"

"Of course!!"

He chuckled, giving me a warm and comforting hug.

"I love you Celine, don't you ever forget that. Even if I do...don't forget it.."

"I won't..I will never forget it..."
