But, it was from being startled.

I turn towards the broken window, "Jesus Curo."

He chuckles. "Sorry."

"Mhm. So did you tell Dane?"

Curo nods, cocking his head. "You ready?"

"Yeah."

The door opens quickly.

"Don't touch my best friend!"

Curoni looks at me, and I look at Dane.

"... What?"

"I thought someone was going to rape you! They said it was Kyi's Day!"

"Oh, well, it's the day Kyi and I catch up. I wanted to joke w-" I elbow him in the side.

"Curo you didn't tell me you were going to scare the shit out of him!"

"I thought that's what you wanted!"

We continue to bicker. Dane screeches. Holy hell.

"Who is he?"

"Uh, my boyfriend, I guess?"

"I thought you said you couldn't date anybody?"

Curo shrugs. "Suppose I'm a different story."

"Wait, Kyi. Face me."

Cocking my head I turn towards my best friend. "Moi?"

He grabs my shoulder, sliding part of my sweater off.

"Whoa, goddamn, don't do that so suddenly.." I frown.

"Is that a hickey?!"

"Sure."

"Why are you letting him damage your body?"

"Dane, what the fuck."

He growls, glaring at Curoni.

"If you dare even try to have sex with her.."

"Mm, no. She wouldn't want it. She just doesn't really care if I bite her."

Curo bared his teeth. They were pointy and he looked like a shark.

"Snnk~" He whispers.

"My god, may I just leave? I'll get the donuts myself."

Dane grumbles a response, but I couldn't care less as I take his keys.

I walk out to his car, not bothering with shoes.

Hopping in, I just drive as fast as I can.
