"Come on Kylie! We're already late and you haven't even started getting ready!" Hazel yelled at me from the top of her lungs. I was too focused on my phone to even bother to hear what she was trying to say until she grabbed it from my hands forcefully.

"What the fuck?! Give it back!" I said annoyed.

"Not until you get ready!" She responded and I groaned.

I got up from my bad and walked towards the wardrobe. I checked her clothing out with the edge of my eye so I can find something similar to wear. After a minute or two, I picked some high-wasted ripped denim shorts and black crop top that had written 'REBEL' on it. I slipped into my black vans and straightened my hair with hot iron. I put on a small amount of foundation, some bronzer, mascara, eyeliner, filled in my eyebrows and applied some nude mac lipstick. Since I wasn't in the mood I really had no wish to put some bigger effort in my appearance tonight. When I decided I looked presentable, I brushed my hair once again a put on a small silver necklace that Ryan gave me for our one year anniversary. It was a gorgeous piece of jewelry with tinny angel wing that was decorated with little diamonds on the edges. It really looked beautiful on me. I clapped my hands to announce that I was done and I turned around to face Hazel. She raised her eyebrow.

"Why are you wearing that?" She pointed on my necklace.

"Dunno. It matches my outfit." I responded and she shoot me a glare.

"You know that Ryan's gonna be at the party tonight, right?" She questioned.

"Correct. Can I have my phone back now?" I pulled my hand towards her with puppy eyes. She slapped it harshly.

"Not until you tell me what's going on!" I sighed and rolled my eyes.

"Nothing, I swear. I only put it on cause it's beautiful. It's not like I'm gonna talk to him or he will get the opportunity to see it in all that dark." I said matter of factly.

"I know but I want you to be completely Ryan-free tonight, you know what I mean? Not in your mind, not on your body, not anywhere, alright?" She said and handed me my phone. I quickly grabbed it before she could change her mind.

"Absolutely!" I squealed and she smiled.

About 30 minutes later we arrived at the beach. The moment I parked and got out of the car I heard loud music busting everywhere! I smirked at Hazel and she pointed at black BMW X5 behind her back. I saw Chris and the rest of the guys pulling out at the parking lot and parking the vehicle right behind my silver Range Rover. The guys got out and gave both me and Hazel a kiss on the cheek. I chuckled and hugged Chris around the waist. He was like a brother to me, literally. We grew up together back in Florida and never left each other's side ever since we were kids. We came here in Cali all together 4 days ago for summer break and we will stay 10 more. Hazel and I are having a separate room at the top floor of our hotel while the guys are a few floors lower at the same building. When I say guys, I mean Chris, Ethan, Cody and Ryan.

Yeah, going on a holiday with ex boyfriend. I'm lame, I know! At least I admit it though.

Truth to be told, Ryan and I were always a part of the same group of people so we never wanted to affect anyone with our breakup or make them pick sides so as awkward as it is now, we're doing our best to be chill and comfortable around each other for the rest of the guys' sake.

I broke up with Ryan three months ago at Ethan's birthday party. I was never really attached to him and as the time passed, we just lost feelings for each other. At the beginning, when we were hiding from our friends it was much more interesting and passionate. It was happening for around 4 months until Chris caught us making out on my bed at 3 am. He was pissed I didn't tell him though but he somehow managed to keep it a secret. Then, there was my insecure phase where I insisted on us becoming official. I was so sick of girls drooling over Ryan and him flirting with them. I was really getting on his nerves with my mood swings and panic attacks so I honestly think that he asked me out only to get rid of my anxiety. I really didn't treat him well. I was always giving him shit for every single thing he did so after some time I realized that the problem wasn't in him. It was in me. I didn't trust him for some unknown reason and it was probably as much as difficult for him to put up with my nonsense bullshit every day. I also started drinking and smoking more often which he hated and developed some habits he didn't find really appropriate. So, when we realized we were a failure we broke up.

Simple as that. No broken hearts, no jealousy, no talking behind each other's back. Not that I expect anything more or less from Ryan. He was truly respecting and caring since the moment we met, while we were together and of course after the break up. So, no matter if we failed, I'm thankful that I was lucky enough to have someone like him to lean on during the tough times.

"So, Ryan necklace, huh?" Chris whispered to my ear and snapped me out of my thoughts. I rolled my eyes.

"Why are y'all making such a big deal out of it? You know it means nothing." I stated the obvious.

"Do you know I found your panties back at his place last week?" Chris smirked.

"What the fuck?! Which one?"

"Red lace, with some black shit." He explained.

"Not mine, I hate red." I confessed.

"Then homeboy moved on damn, I'm finding you someone tonight, I don't care." I rolled my eyes.

"First find yourself someone." I commented.

"Don't you worry for me, love, now let me take this off." He reached behind my neck and unclasped my necklace with his fingers and then threw it into the bloody water!

"What the fuck?!" I whisper-yelled. "Are you out of your fucking mind?" He ignored me and pulled me by my hand.

"Don't know for you bro, but I'm partying tonight!" He nodded his hand while checking out the atmosphere. It was really dope! People were moving their bodies in the rhythm of the beat, singing, drinking and playing beer pong! I turned around and Hazel winked at me. I smirked and walked towards her.

"Tonight's gonna be amazing!" She announced and hugged me. I laughed and hugged her back.

"It better be." I said to myself and walked towards the huge crowd.
