The Amazons are an all-female race of near-human creatures. They are a tribe of warrior women who had no need for males, except for reproduction. Tradition is very important to them, after mating, the child is created, must kill their father as a sign of initiation, they do this by first cutting off his limbs, and carving a symbol into their chest, before killing them.
Their organization began in defiance of the ancient ways of the male dominated world where women were treated like slaves, and children. They fought many bloody battles to maintain their freedom. This is what also eventually drove them into isolation into an all female society where men are looked upon with hatred or at least deep distrust in some.
Amazon Warriors are send them on missions to help human women, and supernatural females, such as Mermaids, who are in trouble.
The Amazons only had girl babies never have they had a boy.
