Chapter 8

I woke up the next morning with a smile on my face. I look over and see Eric's arms draped over my my body with his hand on my belly. I look down and see a small baby bump. Smiling I look over to see Eric looking at me. "Morning." I say laying close to him again kissing him softly. He doesn't say anything. He just smiles and kisses back roughly. I blush and pull away. "I have training today." I say looking down. He groans and puts a kiss on my cheek and sits up pulling me with him. I sigh and stand up getting dressed. "Ready babe?" I ask grabbing my engagement ring. He nods and grabs my hand kissing it softly as he opens the door for me. I smile and walk out and he puts his hand on my back and smiles. "You know ive never smiled this much before you came." He says kissing my cheek "well then I must be special." I giggle and stop walking. He turns around and stares at me "Are you okay." He asks holding me. I shrug and sigh " I'm scared for the mental part and I'm scared I'm gonna lose the baby." I say wrapping my arms around his neck. "I'll be here every step of the way princess." He says holding me closer. I nod and let out a breath of relief. We keep walking to the cafeteria and I speak up. " when are we gonna have the wedding?" I ask squeezing his hand. "When do you want to babe." "Soon I want to be able to fit in a dress." I say laughing quietly. He smiles and kisses my head "okay gorgeous. How about after your training?" He asks as we reach the cafeteria. I smile and nod "yesssss" I say as we sit down at the leaders table "uhhhh aren't I going to get in trouble?" I ask not sure if I should sit. He grabs my wrist and pulls me down on his lap, wrapping his arms around my waist, keeping me from getting up. "You know Eric I can sit on the bench." I say giggling as he looks around my small body. " i know but your mine and I want you to sit on my lap." He says leaning up kissing my cheek. I smile and grab food off his plate eating slowly. "Will my parents be able to come to the wedding?" I ask him shyly. He nods and holds me closer "yeah you didn't know that all factions can join together on a wedding day and watch two people get married?" I shake my head slowly and he puts a hand on my stomach still eating with the other one. "We'll get married at the chapel in the center of the city." He says with his mouth full. I laugh and hold him closer. "We better go." I say quietly seeing that it's 7:50 and we gotta be in the training room at 8.

    We got to the training room seeing everyone is early and he lets my hand go kissing me once more before going in front of everyone. I hear people mumble behind my back and I clench my jaw. "She's only with him to stay in dauntless." And they say "she's gonna break up with him once she makes it." I roll my eyes and bit my lip. Eric gives me calming eyes and I sigh and calm down breathing slowly. He goes back to his same glare and talks to us about the mental part and how we're going through simulations. I look to my left to see the rankings and I see,

3) Tris

What the hell man. How. She was just at the 32. I sigh and smile at the fact that I'm first. "Now everyone meet in the pit at noon." Eric says walking away from everyone and out the doors.

I roll my eyes and walk around the pit finding myself in the tattoo shop. I look around at tattoos and I see one with two hands holding each other. I got up to Tori and smile. "Can I please get this?" I ask politely. She smile and nods I sit in the chair in the private room taking off my shirt because I want it on my shoulder blade. I lay on my stomach as she begins to work.

I smile at the final piece and look at the time seeing I still have two hours so I walk up to Eric's apartment to see him passed out on the bed. "Aweeeee" I say to myself as I lay next to him cuddling his head. He turns to his side and wraps his arms around my body and puts his head next to my stomach. Sitting there, I play with his soft, blonde, gelled hair and his breaths slow down as he falls back to sleep. Why is he so tired? I wonder to myself and close my eyes humming softly in his ear. I kiss his head as he finally lets go of his tight grip. I pull back a little bit staring at his face smiling. This is the only time I've seen him look slightly vulnerable and letting his guard down. Maybe I have changed him for the better. I smile and close my eyes pulling him closer once more and fall asleep with him.
