It's such a nice morning and Jane is so excited to finally came back in her hometown. Yes, it has been 3 years, 3 long years she's far away from here. However, it seems a lot has changed. New taller buildings, wide streets, newly built houses and big malls. This beloved hometown of hers has grown beautifully and progressively. Not only her hometown changes, but she also does. She is now a successful accountant working on a reputable firm in Manila and has almost everything she dreamt before.
As she is waiting for a cab to take her to their ancestral house, which is just a few minutes away, she scrolls her phone and play music then put on the headset. Just in time the cab arrived and she hop in. Along the way, she can't contain her excitement to finally have a vacation, relax from a very busy and chaotic life in the city and take a break.
"Yeah, a break to fully recovered from heartache" Jane murmured as she signals the driver to stop at the black gate.
Her cousin Vem immediately helped her with her baggages. "Welcome back ate! You look gorgeous ha." Vem exclaimed while pulling the trolley.
"Cuz, don't worry I have many pasalubong for you. You don't need to make bola. By the way, what are you up today, cuz?" Jane asked. "I want to go strolling at the beach and start my thing, and I'm assuming that you'll accompany me right?" She added.
"Oh my G ate, so sorry but I can't make it today. I will be working overtime on a school project. But don't worry I'm available the next day, promise!" Ven explained.
So here she is, alone and relaxing at the beach. "I'm here to relax not to emote". Jane reminded herself.
