Love, You'll Fall Into It

Morning

Maya's POV

Sunshine in my eyes woke me from my peaceful sleep. I looked and seen Riley still sleeping in my arms. I kissed her forehead and went downstairs to make breakfast. Cheese omelets, who doesn't love them. I put some bread in the toaster, then started to crack some eggs into a bowl. I melted some butter into the pan. Putting the eggs into the pan, I added the shredded cheese. With a pinch of pepper and salt. I butter the toast and started to but the omelets on the plates. I heard footsteps coming from the stairs.

"Morning Riley, I made breakfast. You want milk, orange juice, or water?"

"Orange juice please." She smiled. She took at seat at the table while I got our drinks.

"Maya this is really good."

"Thanks, I love to cook, especially for other people." My mom walked into the kitchen dressed in her uniform.

"Maya I got to get to work. You'll have to eat leftovers or something."

"I made you a plate of breakfast, I put it in the microwave."

"Thanks love, means so much to me." She grabbed the plate and wrapped it up.

"Can I ask who your friend is?"

"Mom this is Riley, Riley this is my mom, Katy."

"Nice to meet you Riley."

"Nice to meet you too, Miss Hart."

"Call me Katy, Miss Hart makes me feel old." Mom laughed. My mom finished packing up.

"Alright, I have to get to work. Have a good day girls." She left. I sat and started to eat my breakfast.

"She seems nice." Riley said.

"Yeah, it sucks that she has to work all the time. I barely get to see her. But if she didn't I wouldn't have a roof over my head or food on the table." The rest of the time we ate was silent.

"Riley we should go down to the arcade place. It's a short walk, and it is really fun. There are tons of games."

"Yeah!"
