"Whoa, whoa, whoa, what's this baby doing in our car?"
All was going according to plan.
"Well, you wouldn't pick a baby up if you saw her fighting to survive in this cruel world all by herself?"
"You have this crazy way of making me feel bad, Phoenix."
"Yeah, I know."
I chuckled under my breath. The plan was working!
"Let's take her home and feed her, before she dies!"
"Phoenix, I don't think she's dying."
"Marcel, unless you can talk to this baby and find out what she's really feeling, you don't know."
"Well, neither do you."
"That's not the point. You should care more. This is a baby we're talking about! We're adopting her."
"Hey! Hey! Let's not make rash decisions, sweetheart."
"I think I'm going to name her Scarlett. That's a pretty name, right?"
"Yes, I guess so, Phoenix."
I smile and turn away from the computer screen. My plan was working perfectly. Earth with soon be ours!
