Before I get to the actual story, I wanted to give you a little bit of background info on the story. "The Rose Necklace" is my first story, and was first written for a writing contest put on by a small publishing house in North Carolina called Rooglewood Press. It didn't win, and instead sat on my computer for almost a year. I finally got up the courage to share it with the world. It took me a while, but I think it will be worth it. But please, be gentle with me! I don't mind and even welcome creative criticism and feedback. Really, I want to know what you think! The story has been edited, so there should be minimal mistakes, but if you notice one, feel free to let me know. Tell me what you think will happen. I think comments about the story would be super cool! But please be nice about it. Don't be mean or rude. I'm delicate. And chocolate can only fix so much. (Who am I kidding. Chocolate fixes everything, especially when paired with ice cream. But I digress.) I would rather be friends with you than deal with rude comments. Okay? Okay. Glad I got that out of the way.
