Timeline:
(Everything other then dates listed should be assumed to follow what we already have experienced in history.)
Approximately 17,000 B.C.: The Protesian empire coalesces and its people learn to refine Tantulum with the use of Life Energy Infusion, creating their technologies and weaponry that have long gone missing.
Approximately 16,000 B.C.: The Protesian Empire sets groups to colonize other areas of the world, creating footholds in new environments. Soon after, the colonies Drackus, Spirus, Plytus, and Mantus, giving them a foothold.
Approcimately 9,000 B.C.: The Draconic, Spirit, Sprite, and Human races are recognized as separate beings from the original Protesians they descended from, shaped over centuries by the conditions they lived among, or their beliefs. The Dragons excel in basic elemental attacks, and immense defense. The Spirits latch onto an area, which determine their elemental polarity, and they regenerate so long as their heart, while removed from their body, stays intact, and bound to their home area. Sprites become the most varied in ability type, but become fully incorporeal, eventually finding a way to inhabit host bodies to influence the physical world after realizing the inefficiency of completely intangible existence, while retaining their abilities. Humans become the only faction to have solely Life Elemental abilities, becoming the most peaceful faction for a time, believing in pacifism, at least partially. The Protesian's themselves stay unshifted, retaining the most powerful control over Null Elemental abilities, only being contested by the Null Spirits.
Approximately 8,500 B.C.: The Null Spirits are destroyed by their brethren after the brute force of their abilities is realized. none are left alive after the skirmish.
Approximately 7,600 B.C.: The younger races ally with eachother and commit to a surprise assault on the heart of the Protesian empire, attempting to assuage their fear of the Protesian's potential wartime potential, even though the Protesian Empire is openly peaceful and welcoming to the other races at the time. The Protesian's are nearly wiped from the planet, unable to defend themselves from the mass surprise assault, their cities and technology buried under the fear and rage that claimed their lives. The other races return only when they believe no Protesian is left alive, using words from the their language to create a slur for the formerly powerful race: Miar Wraiths, in reference to their abilities, and the word "Mi-a" in the Protesian tongue, a modifier on the negative side, denoting condescension or fear.
Approximately 6,000 B.C.: The Legend of the Bloodstone Eyes is written by the final known survivor of the Protesian race, who dies in an attack on the Sprite homeland some years later, leaving the prophecy on the steps of the front gate upon his death.
