This is probably something that I should have most likely done ages ago, considering its a bit of an important point in some of my writing that various species have different ability sets, etc. There will be other classifications of beings here as well, considering there isn't much point in making an entire guide like this for the artificial type beings as well, but they will be clearly marked as such. The Ability 'Tree' will be at the bottom. For the moment, it will just be verbal description for each level and sublevel of ability, and as for how they can combine to create various effects, but eventually I'll try to put up a kind of actual visual representation.

The Sprites
Sprites are known mainly by their incorporeal form, seemingly a simple sphere of light, varying slightly in color. Sprites are an offshoot of Protesian stock, exposed to life energy resonant crystal for long enough to not require a solid body. However, should they leave the home environment they are born, they would quickly disperse and die without a vessel to hold them, and so they created the Proxy, a shape like the form of a Protesian, fueled by the runoff life energy from the Sprite housed within, an odd return to their root forms caused by the realization that interaction with the outside world was indeed impossible as they had become. While inside a Proxy body, Sprite's lifespan is nearly halved, as they must keep their Proxy alive alongside themselves. Sprites can transfer from one body to another as well, even housing themselves inside those of sentient creatures, but this poses a problem over long term exposure. The mental faculties and life energy of both parties will begin to merge over time, and the Sprite will become trapped, creating a third, entirely new, hybrid Being in the process, returning further to what Sprites originally were. Sprites possess the widest possible, and most numerous number of possible Abilities, in all of the available elemental branches, almost always combining to create an amalgam ability that is unique to the Sprite in question in some aspect. Having a solely elemental based Ability is exceedingly rare for a Sprite, but nonetheless, that means there are often hidden side effects to their abilities that must be discovered through trial and error, and are probably little use at all in every day life. Of all the Species, Sprites are one of the most ingenuitive, having some of the most advanced scientific understanding of all the Beings, after the fall of the Protesian race.
The Draconic
The Draconic Empire was formed once Protesians realized attempts to change their genome had created a secondary, sentient Being, and one that was slightly hostile to them at that. Dragons are as they sound, large scaled beasts that house the most raw power in any single Being, however, this is only due to Dragons only being able to access bare Elemental Abilities, and cannot reach Amalgam branches of the Ability Tree. Reaching secondary abilities is most considered a blessing among The Draconic, and is often used as a call for war and expansion of their empire should one be owned by a clan leader's offspring, or leaders' family. Dragons are often brutish, the polar opposite of Sprites, leaving science to the wayside and letting their brute strength do the talking. As a piece of restitution, Protesians offered The Draconic knowledge on how to transform themselves.... or so The Draconic believed. In the end, the cats'-eye pendants they wear are a kind of projection, allowing them to control a puppet of sorts constructed of their life energy, creating a Protesian-like likeness for them to utilize when dealing with other species. The Draconic are the most hardy of the species, and tend to live in the harshest environments, as they were designed to do by their Protesian originators.
The Spirits
The Spirits are a strange faction that broke away from Protesian influence full force, abandoning science and progression alike to pursue enlightenment by their own means, mainly through... thought, without action, or so it seems. The Spirits have no written history, and can barely speak, if they do at all, in a broken, ancient dialect of Protesian. Through their 'studies', Spirits found a way to remove the source of their own life energy, creating what is known now as a 'keystone', which houses all that they are. Spirits anchor themselves to an area that matches the Element they channel, allowing them to constantly heal so long as their keystone is untouched. Very rarely, Spirits will carry their keystone with them, and as such, they increase their own combat potential, while also making themselves vulnerable. Originally, there were clans of Spirits, based off of their Elemental Stance, but this system broke down over time as some clans were eliminated thanks to possible threats they posed, mainly in reference to the Nullification Element, which was wiped from the world by their fellow Spirits. This fear was instilled by the fact that Nullification Abilities can completely wipe a Spirit from existence, and as a life ending fear, it drove the other Spirits to madness, leading to the extinction of Nullification Spirits. While Dragons possess the overall highest strength of all Beings, Spirits possess the highest strength of Ability, even if they are unable to have anything but Elemental Abilities.
