I was driving, the car moving fast around me. I couldn't make out anything that was happening around me. The windows only showed blurs of colors.

“Don't worry Dakota, we got this.” Blake was sitting next to me. I wanted to hug him, but my hands were glued to the steering wheel. I was looking forward. Nothing was visible.

“Dude what is going on.”

“You're racing. Duh. The Tigers said that you could race instead of me.”

“Than why are you in the car?”

“good question.” Than he was gone, leaving behind the smell of menthol cigarettes. I coughed and looked forward again. There he was. Blake was right in front of me, standing and making out with Victoria. His arms wrapped tightly around her waist. He was pulling her closer.

“Come join Kota.” I heard her say in a low sexy voice. The car was now gone, no longer surrounding me. Now I was kissing Victoria and Blake was watching. This isn't what I want. I tried to pull away, only to have her pull me closer and tighter around her.

“Victoria stop.”

She did, stepping back. Her eyes grew double in side. A shrill cry was coming from her mouth as she pointed to something behind me. I turned to look, Blake's car was crashing into a huge wall. The metal of his car was no match for the tough bricks he hit.

The sound was unbearable. Metal crunching and scratching. Glass from the windows caused a cloud around him. Flames stared to erupt from the smashed engine. “BLAKE!” Victoria yelled running towards the car, as I started running I noticed the car slowly getting farther and farther with eery step. I would continue to run but soon the car was out of my sight.

“Sir, you need to leave.” I was being poked in the arm. I opened my eyes slightly to see a man older than me in blue scrubs. I had once again fell asleep in the hospital again. “You and your friend need to leave.” I nodded, stretching and looking over at the sleeping Shelby next to me.

“Just give me and my friend like ten minutes. We'll be gone.”

The nurse nodded and left the room. Shelby was softly snoring in the seat next to me, her legs draped over the arm rest, the controller on her stomach. Her breathing was soft and slow. I watched as her chest would rise and fall with every breath. Her legs were twitching like she was running. Every now and than she would mumble and make noises. The sound of Blake's breathing machine and beeping heart rate filled my ears and reminded me even more where I was. What was happening.

“Shelbs. Its time to wake up now.” She mumbled and stirred in her sleep trowing her hands at me to push me away. I laughed, “Shelby its time to go. Its really late.” she burried her head deeper into the chair, her arm falling to her side and stopping inches before it touched the cold clean linoleum floor.

“I don't want to baby, just wait.” Baby? Did she just call me baby?

“Shelby?” I placed my hand on her leg, pushing at it slightly and hoping that she would wake up.

“I don't know want to wake up yet. One more hour. The boat will be ready in an hour.”

“Shelby we have to leave. The nurse's want us to leave.” Her eyes were starting to flicker open.

“Kota? Wha-?” her hands were running over her face, I watched as she smudged her makeup covering her eyes leaving black and brown stains on her hand.

“Shelby its time to leave.”

“Oh, okay.” Slowly she sat up. Stretching her long legs I heard her pop her ankles. “How late is it?”
