It's been a whole week since the winter cup. We here at Seirin have been doing the same thing since we won the winter cup: Practice. We all know that the other schools are getting stronger, and we don't want to fall behind. Everybody has been working on the same thing, except me. Lately I've been trying to work on my scoring. I know I made a commitment to stay as a shadow but I haven't been feeling it lately. So for the past week I've been working on my scoring with the help of Kagami.
"Hey! Kuroko! We don't have time to stare into outer space. Let's head to practice." I heard Kagami said.
We are currently in class. With the help of Momoi-San my grades have gone up. "Momoi-san?!", you ask? Yes I'm talking about her. Momoi-San has recently transferred into Seirin because she felt like she no longer had to watch Aomine-kun for him to stay out of trouble. She's currently in the advanced class so she doesn't have time to become the basketball team's manager but she always makes time to help me study, which I'm thankful for.
"Sorry I won't be joining in on practice today." I told Kagami.
Kagami stared at me with his eyes wide open, for a second I thought he was dead. "Huh?! You out of all people, is skipping practice?!"
Trying to let the whole world hear? Jesus.
"Yes, unfortunately." I replied. "I got some thing to do today."
"And what's that?" He asked me.
"My brother is competing in the Japan Olympics this year, and for the past 4 years, he's been in America playing for the NBA. So today I'm going to walk to the airport and welcome him back to Japan." I answered, praying that he won't freak out again.
"THE NBA?!?!?!"
There he goes. "Yes, the NBA."
"Is he that good? Making it to the NBA level is unbelievable, not to mention he's a Japanese born player." Kagami said.
"Sorry I don't have time for this. I'll be glad to answer your questions tomorrow." I told Kagami as I got up from my seat and went to the door.
The last thing I heard before I opened the door and left was "O-okay."
