BREAKING NEWS: Famous rocker Jasper Bleu and his Folk singer wife Shannon’s private plane was found crashed off the Pacific coast of California. Rescue teams were sent in, but found the bodies unable to be saved.
I stared at the screen of the TV, unable to process what I was seeing. This has to be a dream, right? They were supposed to be here for my ninth birthday four hours ago. I looked back at the screen seeing a picture of a beat up plane laying on the sandy coast, by this point tears were streaming down my face. Who’s going to blow out birthday candles with me? Why aren’t they here? They have to be here, they’re my parents. I sat by the front door all night, just waiting for them to walk through and sing me “Happy birthday”; but the moment never came. I was left alone, I finally realized that they were never going to come through that door again, I walked away.
