"We're here." I said, sighing with relief. "But where's Cam? I don't see her!"
"Boo!" Cam jumped up behind us, laughing her ass off as I shrieked. Ky turning around so fast, she almost tripped.
"Jesus Christ, Cam!" I yelled at her.
"Why the fuck did you do that?" Ky yelled at her.
"It was too funny to resist!" Ky slapped her. "Ow! Haha. Still funny!" She said, barely reacting to Ky's slap.

We all whirled around, guns up, pointing at the noise.
"Come out right now, motherfuckers!" I yelled. "I said now! Drop your weapons, too!" Cam and Ky gave me sideways glances of shock and pride.
They came out, and my jaw dropped. There were 3 guys, about our age. 17-18, I'd guess.
"Sorry! We thought you were 'washed'. Guess not..." The one in the middle said. "I'm Trey, and this is Marcus and Lucas." He pointed to the guys on his left, and then on his right.
"H-hi. I'm Jill, and this is Cam and Ky." I replied shakily, pointing to each of them as I said their names.
Oh my god! He is hot! I can't admit that out loud though...
"Are you friend or foe? I mean, are you brainwashed like the other people?" Ky questioned, a suspicious look on her face. "Because if you are, I will blow your damn brains out!"
Cam was still quiet, but she hadn't dropped her gun. Could we trust them? We just met them, so we don't know what they actually acted like. I had no idea what to do, but did we have much of a choice?
Trey walked up to me, gun put away, and put his hand out in a friendly handshake gesture.
"How about this? You don't shoot us, we don't shoot you. Deal?"
His hand was still out, so, after pushing Ky out of the way, I shook it. It was so warm and worn, I had to take a deep breath to steady myself after he finally let go. Why is he affecting me like this? I'm so confused...

Ky was staring daggers at me when I shook hands with him. What? I can take care of myself, and I can definitely shoot the bastard in the head if he showed any signs of betraying us.
I heard one of the other guys, Lucas, talking to Ky.
Well. He was trying to talk.
"Whoa, take it easy! I'm a friend." He said, while Ky was holding his wrist.
She let him go, reluctantly. "I don't take kindly to people touching me." She snarled, fixing her shirt.
Wow. I better stop this before blood is spilled.
"Okay, Jackie Chan. They're our only friends at the moment, so keep the attacking to a minimum, will you?" I said, with exasperation in my voice.
She made a face. "I make no promises."
Ugh...Wait, is Cam laughing? With Marcus? She's not trying to kill him? This day keeps getting weirder. I heard Ky talking again.
"If you try anything, I will not hesitate to kill you. Trust me when I say this, I have creative ways to kill you. These are my girls, and if you do anything-"
"Ky, leave him alone." I said, trying to keep the whine out of my voice. "He hasn't done anything wrong."
She looked at me. "Do you remember how long it took me to trust you? Years. Now, we're in the fucking apocalypse. It's gonna take a hell of alot longer for me to trust three teenage guys that happened to find out when we did that the world is ending."
"The washing started in our town weeks ago." Lucas said. "My brother and I noticed our parents acting different, so we packed our bags, got Trey, and ran out of town as soon as we could."
Wow. I wonder where Trey's parents are. If they got washed, too...?
"We're from Queens." Marcus said, with Cam hanging on to his every word.
"We started walking three weeks ago." Trey said, looking right at me. I blushed and looked away.
"Well, hell." Cam said. "Where can we go now? All of fucking New York must be washed by now. Shit!"
"We'll find a way to get out of here. We'll get somewhere safe, and then figure out what the hell is causing The Wash. I promise." Trey looked at me again.
What is up with me? With him? He couldn't possibly like me. Or could he?
