Harmony, New England

"Endora, how did you get here? Where is Mama?"

He zipped up the bag, slinging it over his shoulder and picked her up and began making his way back down. Confused and concerned on how the toddler was able to get both up the stairs and to the room without making a noise or having help.

"Fox? Go?" she replied disregarding his questions as she touched his bag curiously.

"Yeah, I'm going away for a little while."

As he reached the first floor, Tabitha made her way out of the kitchen where he caught a glimpse of Kay sitting at the island.

The sight of her makes Fox think about how he was reduced to this pathetic shell. In love with a woman who chose a boy with games and not a man with plans, he has become the guy he would have mocked relentlessly a year ago. He can only describe it as being the male version of Gwen, always fighting harder for someone who just did not want you as badly as you wanted them.

Trying to get out of his head Fox gave his attention to the owner of the house, "Hey, we - you might have to put gates up by the stairs. Endora seems to have gotten up there easily, right you little monkey?"

Endora just smiled as if she had a secret.

"Oh, yes I keep meaning to put a bell on her, it's cheaper and less damaging to the house." Tabitha remarked as she spotted the bag that he held.

" Well I can't argue with that logic, but I would still like to have someone check it out for you."

"You don't have to." her tone made it clear she wasn't talking about the baby gates.

Sighing knowing that he wasn't going to get out of this Fox replied "I know, but I have to. I can't stay here not with everything that has happened. I barely recognize myself anymore, not that I want that guy who first came to town back. Just that being this guy seems to get me the short end of the stick."

Fox went over to the play pin and placed Endora next to Maria, placing a kiss on each of the girls heads in a silent goodbye, before turning back to Tabitha.

He was surprised that she moved closer to him while he was distracted.

"I don't say this enough and I will turn you into a shoe if you repeat this to anyone, but for what it's worth you are my favorite tenant." She then pulled a move he never thought the kooky old woman was capable of.

She gave him a hug and a kiss on the cheek, "Don't be a stranger, we have phones now."

Fox smiled, touched that the older woman showed him a bit of her motherly affections, something Ivy never could show her other children besides her golden boy Ethan.

"I won't, thanks Tabitha for everything."

With that said Fox walked out of the Lenox home and to his car thinking only one thought.

"I have to get as far from Harmony as I can."

LA, California

After leaving the building Steffy decided to head back to her place to grab a quick shower and pack a getaway bags for her trip.

As she was driving she passed by a bus with an ad for a cruise ship heading to Havana, Cuba. On the spot she decided to change her destination from Cancun, Mexico to Havana it was her best bet for some private fun. Something she could not get while in LA, surrounded by people who held connections to either her family or the Logans and Spencers.

"Speaking of family." Steffy whispered to herself as she heard both her Mom and Grandma voices enter her apartment.

"Steffy!" "Stephanie!"

"I'm up here." sighing Steffy placing her cell phone back on dresser before continuing to pack knowing the conversation that was about to take place was sure to sour her mood even further.

"Steffy honey, I have been calling you for almost an hour now! Why haven't you answered your phone?" Taylor remarked once her younger child was in her eyesight.

"What are you doing? We still have time to stop them before it's too late. I have already called to have the Forrester jet ready for you."

Steffy turned towards her doorway to the two older women. Her mother, Taylor Hunter Forrester, one of two of her remaining female idols she has, the other one stood next to her Mom, her beloved grandmother and namesake, Stephanie Douglas Forrester.

As she stared at her mother's face she oddly enough did not find it strange that she looked ready to cry or that she had just finished crying. Most of the memories she has of her mother was with this very face, eyes shining with heartbreak it was rarely ever happy tears. She has seen her mother lose her heart to men who did not deserve her loyalty and love, and sadly one of those men was her own father.

She didn't even have to look at her Grandmother to know her armor was on for the invisible battle between her family and whichever family she felt was a poison she needed to cure and cleanse from their lives. From the Logan's, Spencer's, Marone's, Spectra's, hell the older woman has even turned against Taylor and her own family members if she felt it was necessary.

"No, we are not going to stop this wedding. Or at least I won't have anything to do with it." Steffy replied as she turned away from the duo and continued packing up her bags.

"Have you hit your head again? Because honestly darling we might have to start looking into getting you a private nurse and bodyguard."

"Stephanie!" Taylor scolded her former mother-in-law for her comments about her only daughter,

"Steffy, sweetheart, what are you talking about?" Taylor asked not quite agreeing with Stephanie that her daughters behavior was causing her concern about her strong willed child mental state.

"I mean exactly what it sounds like" Steffy sent a slight glare to her Grandma for her previous comment, " I am not going to do anything, but finish pack up and hit the road. I'm taking a 'no drama' solo vacation, so don't panic when you can't get a hold of me, okay? I won't be taking my phone. "

Stephanie grabbed her granddaughter's shoulders trying to force sense into her,"Steffy snap out of it, you're not thinking clearly!".

"Actually, I am. I thought hard about this and I can hardly have a drama free vacation if the drama can reach me at anytime. So no phone, it's perfect."

Both of the women glared at her as she pretended she was oblivious of what was really being asked of her.

"Grandma, I know you won't understand, but I'm thinking more clearly than I ever have before" Steffy sighed removing herself from her hold, "I always thought we had to win against the Logan's, that it was us against them. When the truth is we have to fight for ourselves and win against the history we're trapped in.".

Steffy turned back to her Mom, " Can you honestly tell me that you aren't tired of all of this? That you both aren't just exhausted of waiting or even stealing your next shot with Dad or Grandad?"

Steffy glanced at both women before continuing .

"You know I love you both and I would go to hell and back for you, but I'm off to enjoy my life." Steffy stated zipping up her the last of her bags and placing a kiss on the women's cheeks and making her way out of the apartment.

Intentionally not letting either of them know where she was headed. The last thing she needed was for them to ignore her request to stay out of it and try to drag her into a plan.

"Stephanie, who is that and where is my daughter?" Taylor asked in shock at the turn of events.

"I have no idea."
