Allison (or Alli)

"You're staying with me, got it?" Cameron's voice spoke, attempting to over come the blasting music that was blaring through my car speakers. I took my eyes off from the darkness of outside and placed my attention on Cameron who was driving. His darkened eyes were glued on the tree-covered boulevard, watching as he carefully drove my Corolla 2014.

"Why do I have to stay with you?" I asked, raising an eyebrow as I gazed at him. "A party is a time to let loose. I want to have fun Cameron".

For a split second, he slightly turned his head and eyed me, before focusing back onto the road. "Because. This is Shea Doyle's 18th birthday party. I'm not letting you out of my sight".

He sounded like an over protective dad, which I absolutely hated! Every time we go somewhere that involves a lot of publicly, he turns into an over protective freak.

"I'm eighteen Cameron, not five". I state. "It's not like I'm going to frolic around and get into trouble".

I sat back into the seat, leaning my head against the window. "I know". Cameron says. "It's just that, the last time we went to a party, you-"

"Shut up Cameron". I demand, as I realized where he was going with this. I knew what he was going to say, and I'd rather not talk about it. It brings back horrible memories, that I wished had never happened.

"Sorry". He apologizes, as we finally pull up to our final destination. Shea Doyle's house.

I undid my seatbelt, and excitingly hopped out of the car. Cameron grabbed the keys and stuffed them into his jean pockets, before getting out himself.

Cameron met by my side, and gently grabbed my hand. For your information, we WERE NOT a couple. We're just friends.

Me and Cam have been best friends ever since kindergarten. On the first day of school, we both wore the same shirt, which was a batman graphic tee. I know, I know. A girl wearing a boys shirt? Let's just say I was in love with batman back then. The same with Cameron. That's how we became besties. To this day, we know everything about each other. From our favourite colour to the last time we picked our noses. Just ask us anything, and we'll be glad to answer.

Now back to reality. As he dragged me to Shea's porch, the rumbling beneath our feet grew bigger and bigger. So big that it almost began to tickle.

The shadow of Shea's humongous house shadowed us in darkness, as we were now at his doorstep. His house was literally a mansion. I guess that's what wealthy people live in, considering that his dad is a director.

Cameron lifted his fist and knocked hardly on the mahogany double doors. I rolled my eyes at his stupidity. "Cameron, this is a party. The music is blaring throughout the house, do you really think anyone is going to hear that?"

Cameron stared at me. He knew I was right, he just didn't want to admit it. Instead, he grasped the golden door handle and pushed the door open.

Inside, people swarmed the area. It looked like the school hallways on a Friday afternoon.

Walking into the clustered space, the stench of alcohol and cigarettes fulfilled my senses. It smelt very bitter, almost making me cringe.

Cameron led me further into the house, his hand not daring to let go of my wrist.

Pushing our way through the ocean of sweaty bodies, we finally ended up in a marble styled kitchen. It looked very expensive and precious, but with the liquor bottles and solo cups scattered on every counter, it made the room look junky. Especially with dull cigarette butts sitting on the countertops.
