A Love Story

It was the first day of school. High school. I dragged myself out of bed and went inside the bathroom. I tried to remove all of my nervousness in the hot shower. Unfortunately, it didn't work. I heard my mom shouting, "Bianca! Get down here now or you'll be late." I didn't pay attention to her and took my time dressing up. Luckily, this school didn't have uniforms. It would've sucked if they did. I heard my sister and my brother shouting that they were leaving. Immediately, I ran down the stairs, tripped at the last step and made my way to my brother's Hummer. You could say that we're rich but we don't flaunt it to anyone. I guess that's why I think we don't have enemies. I think.

"What are you doing, almost embarassing us in school? And on the first day?" my brother angrily asked me. "I woke up late." I answered flatly. You see, my brother and my sister are popular at our school. My brother is part of the football team, is in a band and is a great dancer. My sister is a cheerleader and she has a perfect figure so all the guys in school want to hook up with her. Same goes for my brother while I am a totally nobody.

Once we arrived in school, I walked fast so that I wouldn't get late. I arrived as soon as the teacher was closing the door. And then I saw him. Mark Helting. His hair was arranged perfectly. His eyes shone brightly. Heck, he even had the perfect body. He is a part of the football team. And he is my sister's ex and my brother's bestfriend. 

"Ms. Carrie? Ms. Carrie? EARTH TO MS. CARRIE!" I looked at my teacher. "Would you like to sit down?" I nodded. I picked a front seat and turned around to see Mark and his friends laughing at me. I felt so embarrased. This day cannot get any worse.
