So, I was in a limo with the hottest guy in all of history, who happens to be my brother.
Oh, this cruel, cruel world.
I was sipping a coke from those little, built in fridges from the limo. The black leather seat felt cool against my skin and I felt like I was in heaven. Dream-boy was sitting next to me talking on and on about how much I'll love his manor. I wasn't really listening.
I took another sip from my coke. Wow, this coke was really good. Probably some soda imported from another country. An expensive, designer brand...of coke.
"So Emily, you see, stock can be everything. However that is not the case........"
Ask me what I heard from Davis's chatting as the limo drove us through the paved streets?
"Blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah...................blah! BLAH! BLAH!": Is what I heard.
Then Davis got quiet and stared at me intently. So he probably was asking me something and waiting for my reply. What was I going to tell him? Was I going to tell him that yes, I agree with your "Blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah...................blah! BLAH! BLAH!".
I had absolutely no idea what he had said.....so, instead I said, "Wow, this is some great coke you have here," and he stared at me like I was the most pathetic thing in the world.
"Emily," Davis says. He's still expecting me to say something to him. But what did he ask? I try and remember what he had been saying. Something about stock and stock not being the case...
"Of course! Davis, you are sooo totally right! Stock isn't everything!" I manage to smile at him despite how clueless I was.
He makes a little sigh.
"Emily, just get out of the limo okay?" Davis says very impatiently.
WHAT!??
Did Davis just tell me to get out? Oh, the horror! He was kicking me out... I thought I was going to go and live with him in his manor. My luggage was in the trunk and everything was packed, but now, he wanted to kick me out??
"Noooooooo!!! I haven't done anything wrong, Davis! Tell me, why, why, why are you kicking me out of the limo!" I splutter at him; almost chocking on my sip of this delectable coke.
Davis looks confused and so darn innocent.
Tears are streaming down my cheek now.
"Tell me Davis, why? Why are you kicking me out?" I cry.
My voice cracks in between the words.
"Because, ladies first," he says.
I wipe my tears away with my left hand. My right hand is still clutching my can of delightful coke.
Huh?
The chauffeur that I have somehow been oblivious to for the past three hours opens the limo door for me and Davis gently leads me out of the limo and into the blinding sun. He follows right behind me.
"Stewart, mind the luggage," He tells the chauffer. Davis then takes my arm and leads me down a grand stone path.
Leading towards........an enormous manor.
I was utterly confused.
Davis was kicking me out of the limo........but....what? "???"
I turn to Davis who is now leading me by my wrist down the stone path.
Davis sees the puzzlement playing on my face.
"Oh Emily, *sigh*, I didn't know you'd be so melodramatic," he says and then gives a friendly smile that just about melted me right then and there on the stone pathway.
"Melodramatic!?!!!" I exclaim.
What in the world is this guy talking about?
He laughs out loud. A tinkling, musical, lovely laugh. So sweet and warm...
"Emily, I hope you won't make such a big fuss every time we have to leave the limo," he laughs some more.
"We left the limo because...oh," I felt so dumb and extremely embarrassed right then.
Duh. We had to get out of the limo because the ride was over. We were here. I finally noticed the large mansion looming up ahead.
My face flushed burned red. I remember him staring at me intently in the limo. Probably waiting for me to get out of the car, but instead I had said something about the coke...then I had said something about stock...then I had started to cry....
"So, are you always like this?" He asks and smiles at me sweetly.
I drop my can of coke. That's how bad I was shaking; I was soooo nervous! Man, I really liked that coke and knew I was gonna miss it, but I had a feeling that there was many more in stock anyways.
"No, I uh, no umm...," I was way too embarrassed to think.
My dream-guy was looking at me intently with his playful emerald eyes, waiting for me to say something. He turned to me and faced me. He was in his full glory, his blond hair ruffled by the breeze, his eyes green and twinkling, his lips, red and tempting.
"Emily...," He murmurs and comes so close to me face.
Was he going to kiss me????
He was coming closer, to my lips!
He smiles and wipes the remaining tears from my cheek.
Then turns around and walks towards the manor at a faster pace.
"C'mon! You haven't even gotten inside your new home!" He laughed, his beautiful laugh, and took my hand.
