Piffle-(noun) nonsense
Now
Janice paused and put her pen down, sighing as she looked on towards the winter spectacle before her. She'd been coped up in her room, freezing cold from all the playing in the snow in the morning with a cup of hot choclate on her beside table. Arianne had taken pleasure without her, building her ugly snowman and snow angels as Janice shivered in her clothes.
"Still wiritng, Jan?" Arianne laughed, as she removed her snow gloves and coat and sat on her own bed, staring at Janice in amusement. "No, I'm not. Ari, can't you see? I'm scribbling and doodling on my Writing binder." Janice replied sarcastically as the seventeen-year-old sister raised her hands defensively and continued removing her winter coats, which was like one above and three underneath, no wonder she never got cold.
Arianne sighed exasperatedly and glared at her sister, "What has gotten you in a mood today?"
Janice smirked, "Well, aside from the fact that you covered our backyard and the front yard with snowmen and angels and completely blocked my point of vision, you did mot tell me you had four winter coats above your body."
Arianne laughed, "Well, you know me."
Janice simply rolled her eyes and smiled at her sister as sweet as possible.Arianne suddenly looked up and snapped her fingers loud enough, catching Janice's undivided attention.
"Hey, by the way, before I forget... Natalie's coming over. She reckons you, she and I might want to have a cup of tea with Kiara who just went home from her vacation in Italy. " Arianne said as Janice sniffled, she had nothing against the short girl but she seemed pretty annoying to her. Nevertheless, they were still best of friends.
"Fine by me. But where?" Janice looked at Arianne who shrugged, "Up to them.""Ciao amici miei!" Kiara greeted the girls with a wave and a smile. Natalie beamed at them, her curly blonde hair tied in a ponytail which was flying around as she jumped to hug the two girls. Natalie was that short, or maybe the twins were that tall.
"Hey, Kiara! Hi Natalie!" Arianne walked up to them after Janice who was bomarded by Natalie's rib-crushing hugs.
"How was Italy, Kiara?" Janice chuckled, looking at the redhead who shrugged. "It was beautiful country, of course, wonderful yet I had to learn Italian for two months before I got the hang of the lingua del bel paese."
Arianne chuckled as Natalie led the way, " Where are we going?""
"To the café, of course." Natalie answered as she shivered in her clothes.
"To warm ourselves." Kiara said as she grinned at Janice and Arianne who looked confused enough to make the two laugh.
"Non c'è bisogno di preccuparsi, voi due gemelli, we know the way to Caffé della Pace." Kiara chuckled as Arianne frowned, "Mind you, Harris, we don't speak Italian."
"I said, no need to worry, twins." Kiara smirked as she pushed the door open to a warmly lit cozy room with sofas and couches that displayed the walking passerby in the street. Pictures were hung and books were placed on shelves.
"This is the well-known Caffé della Pace." Kiara smiled, as Natalie took it upon herself to order their favorites, a mocha for Kiara, an expresso for her, a chocolate chip frap for Janice and coffee for Arianne who couldn't last a day without one.
Cold drinks on a cold day...
"Oooh, thank you very much. Oh, my beautiful steaming coffee." Arianne beamed at her mug while Natalie rolled her eyes and sat beside Kiara who was already sipping her mocha.
"You drink coffee too much." Janice usually took it upon her to remind Arianne of the consequences of drinking too much coffee.
"Yeah, whatever. Let me enjoy this mug first." Arianne smirked as she inhaled the scent of the coffee.
Janice simply shook her head and continued drinking her frap. "Ready to face the whole week of school, Jan?" Natalie chuckled at the girl who groaned and held a hand up. "Don't even..."
"There will be transferees. You must've them in the hall already with girls swooning over those four. I know them, they're four of my friends." Kiara said nonchalantly, it wasn't common for their school to get transferees in their Senior year.
"Are they hot??" Natalie asked as Arianne giggled at the girl's antics.
"Depends on how you see them." Kiara pursed her lips as she finished her mocha and set it lightly on the table.
Janice smiled at the two. Redhead Kiara was laughing as an irritated Natalie continued pestering her for details while Arianne stared amusedly at the two, sipping her coffee like it was the only drink in the world that she would ever drink.
She'll miss this soon...."Bene devo andare. My parents must already be looking for me, see you!" Kiara smiled, standing up and slinging her bag on her shoulder after a few minutes of chatting. Janice watched her as she opened the door outside, sending chills inside the warm café they were staying.
Natalie remained quiet, watching and cautious as Arianne continued talking about her scholarship that she received last week, she was going to transfer this Senior Year. She and Janice promised contact through e-mails, texts and calls, and even letters.
Janice was going to miss her bubbly, talkative and sarcastic sister even if she had Natalie and Kiara by her side.
"Ah! I wasn't expecting to see you here! I thought you were going to come in January!" Kiara suddenly exclaimed from outside, making the girls turn their heads to see Kiara laughing with a boy their age.
A boy strangely familiar...He truned and smiled at them, waving as Kiara pointed out that she went there with friends.
Is that her acquiantance before? The one who used to watch her write?
No."Vince?"
