The water looks so pretty...
So still, so serene...
Carefree and full of peace...
The water glistens as I lean...I sit in my usual place when I need to get away and think, in front of the old lake, deep within "Esoteric Forest" as I call it. It's that time of year, when it isn't quite autumn, but it isn't quite winter, you know, when the leaves are barely on the trees, and the ones that are, are rapidly flying around like humming birds after a cup of coffee? Yeah, it was that time of year.
It smelled of fresh air, like the very fresh air. The air you smell on a cold morning, where the air itself is cool to inhale. There was also a faint salt water smell too, if you were to pay attention to it, that is.
This lake here, I call it my lake, my obscure lake...because, no one really knows how it got here, I mean, it barely rains and it's in the middle of an ancient forest, sounds like an unsolved mystery to me. Sometimes I let my mind wonder, and think maybe it was put here for a reason...
I slowly lean over my criss crossed legs, into my reflection in the lake. A grey eyed, light brown haired girl, stares back at me. Her lips are red from constantly biting them and looks like she had an overdose on freckle pills. None the less...this girl was me....Sally Tate....the girl who isn't noticed.
