Alice's POV

I heard very distance voices I tried to open my eyes but they wouldn't.

I clung on to the voices and tried to make out what they were saying

" they're both in critical conditions we can't save both of their lives but we can save one"

" how ?"

" it'a risky but we could place miss browns brain in miss Parkers body"

" I see it does make sense ,as her body is still working but not her brain and the other ones brain still functions but she would be paralysed completely."

" neither of them have any family, miss brown lives in a care home and miss Parker has no family friends or anyone"

"We'll if the care home gives consent we should be able to go ahead"

That's when the voices faded and I could feel myself slipping away

What was going on?

Was I dying?

What happened?

The thoughts swarmed around my head before I was swallowed by the darkness.

Louise Hatton's POV

I was sat in the waiting room at the hospital for at least an hour before a doctor came in.

"Hello miss Hatton we have some news on Alice Brown.

She has broken her neck and back in several places. Her lungs have been Badly damaged and are not functioning.

Her body is in a bad way but the good news is her she has sustained no brain damage."

I nodded slowly "so she's not dead?"

"No but she we have put her In a coma for the moment. We do have an idea where we can save her live though."

I swallowed "go on"

"Well it's risky but we could place Alice's brain in miss Parkers ,the other girl involved in the crash, body.

Do we have your consent?"

" yes you do"

The least I could do was to save one live...
