It began simply and subtly, so subtle it was almost unnoticeable.
Just little tiny thoughts at first, ones that were barely abnormal. So close to normal that, again, it was almost unnoticeable.
The abnormality of the thoughts grew, however, until the man who was thinking these thoughts realized how he felt, what exactly he was thinking.
Yet he did nothing about it, due to the possible consequences, the most likely consequences.
The thoughts still came, however, and there was nothing he could do to stop them.
And he willed himself to make the thoughts audible, to reveal them to the world, but again, the consequences stuck in his mind.
