Lee hummed as he made tea in the kitchen. One for his Mum, one for his Dad, one for Nancy. He dropped teabags into the cups, sprinkled sugar over them, poured in the water and stirred. Stirring in milk he took out the teabags and three them in the bin.
"Your in a dapper mood, son." Nick clumped him round the earhole, Lee grinned to himself. "Young Grace stay round again?" Mick knew his boy to well.
Lee nodded, a beaming smile on his face. "She went home about an hour ago, her Dad needed her to take Amy to school."
Grace bustled around the home her Dad owned. Jack had had to leave for work early, so Grace rushed around getting Amy ready for school. They danced around in the kitchen to One Direction's 'Drag Me Down' whilst Grace flipped pancakes for their breakfast. She spread Nutella on them and gave them to her little sister.
"So much better when you do breakfast." Any muttered, munching on her pancake sandwich.
"Don't go telling Daddy I gave you chocolate for breakfast, mind. Or I'll be in for a rollicking!" Grace told her sister, both of them laughing. "Hurry up and finish your breakfast so we can get to school." Grace told her. "I'm just going upstairs to get changed."
Grace rushed upstairs, changing out of her grey tracksuit into black jeans, a white nike top, that she tucked the front of it into her jeans, and out on some converse. She paired it with her leather jacket and let her hair curl around her face, reaching halfway down her back. She applied a little mascara and nude lipstick.
"Ames! Come on, let's move it!" She called out as she hurried down the stairs. Amy walked out the kitchen, chocolate spread around her face, pulling her shoes on in the hallway. Grace sighed, quickly grabbing the edge of her Dad's best coat to wipe Amy's mouth. She grabbed Amy's bag and they were finally on their way to school.
"Where were you last night?" Amy asked her older sister. "I had a horrible nightmare and I went to your bedroom but you weren't there. I didn't want to go into Daddy's room again because Mummy stayed over again."
"Did she?" Grace smirked to herself. "Our little plan is working." She high-fived Amy, they both chuckled.
"So where were you?" Amy asked again.
"She was at my house. We had a little sleepover." Lee came out of the minute mart, slinging his arm casually over Graces shoulders. Grace intertwined her fingers through his, leaning into him a little.
"Mummy doesn't let me go to sleepovers. She says I never get enough sleep. It's not fair." Amy sighed. "Are you coming to school with us?" She smiled up at Lee hopefully.
"Well we didn't get enough sleep, last night. Or the night before that." Grace giggled. Amy was too young to know what she was implying, but Lee chuckled along with her, grinning to himself.
"I suppose I can come to school with you," he ruffled Amy's hair.
"Race you!" Amy shouted, running off. Lee and Grace ran after her, trying not to overtake her and let her win. When she got to tired and out of breath, they slowed down, almost reaching the school. "Are you my sisters boyfriend now?" Amy asked Lee.
"Yeah, are you my boyfriend Lee?" Grace looked back at him. It was safe to say she had fallen for him, hard. She had only been having a bit of fun before, trying to get at Whitney. Grace hadn't thought she would actually end up falling in love with the guy. But he was sweet, kind and handsome. He had stolen her heart, where no boy and ever come close before.
"Yep," Lee said, popping his P, "I most definitely am her boyfriend." He decided, a smile beaming his face.
"Lily!" Amy called over to her best friend as they reached the school. They ran to the middle to meet each other, chatting immediately as the reached each other, erupting in giggles. "Lee's my sisters new boyfriend!" Amy gossiped, laughing her little head off.
"Lee used to be my Auntie Whitney's boyfriend." Lily told her.
Whitney shot Grace and Lee daggers across the school playground. Amy grinned back at her sister. "Bye, Gracie!" She ran back into Grace's arms to hug her goodbye. Grace picked her up, spinning her round. It always made Amy giggle.
"Right, I'll pick you later." Grace told her little sister. "Kisses." Amy pouted and planted a kiss on her sisters cheek. She ran off to play with her friends.
Grace turned to walk out of the school playground, Lee wrapped his arms around her shoulders, kissing her cheeks. He tickled her a little, making her squirm. "Stoooop." She laughed.
"Me Mum and Dad wondered if your Dad and that wanted to come for dinner tonight." Lee asked her, he wrapped an arm around her waist.
"Dad doesn't get back from his work trip until six, but I'll text him. If not me, Rox and Amy'll be there." She promised him. "Who's cooking though, 'coz your Mum made lunch the other day, you and Mick was down in the bar and it was just me, her and Nance. I almost threw up, it was so bad." Grace laughed. She had heard Lee say how bad his Mother's cooking was before, so she knew it wouldn't offend him.
"Don't you worry. Nancy and Tamwar are doing dinner, I think they're making curry." Lee reassured her.
"Whoop, I love spicy foods." She told him. "Come here, you." They stopped outside the Vic, about to go in. Grace put her hands on his cheeks, pulling his face down to her height to give him a snog.
They both went into the Vic together, Roxy was there having a chat with Linda. "Gracie." Roxy called her over, patting a bar stool.
"We're coming for dinner here tonight, by the way. I text Dad but he hasn't replied yet." Grace told her. Linda looked confused. "Rox is my Dad's girlfriend." She explained.
