I sneaked the note into Mona's desk. I couldn't wait for them to hate eachother. Jonathan was too... good. He seemed like a Mary-Sue character from a perfect little book.

Mona was a perfect perfect. She would love me. As these thoughts filled my mind, I didn't notice Mona sit down. She looked in her desk and saw the note.

I felt her poke my back and I turned around to see Mona's face as red as a sunburnt tomato. I was nervous to hear what she would say. She was silent.

Mona shoved the note in my face. I read it and pretended to feel sorry. "He was nice," I said, trying to sound sympathetic. She nodded and hung her head.

Now I really did feel sorry. Mona didn't deserve to feel like this. She was too perfect. But I couldn't just apologize. She would hate me. Forever.

I couldn't leave her sad. I touched her shoulder. She looked at me. "I'm sorry," I wimpered. Mona looked confused.

"I put the note in your desk." I looked down at my feet. Who knew a simple 'I hate you' could do so much?

She slapped me.

I died :P
