I open my apartment door, throwing myself onto the couch, too tired to take my sleeping pills. And before I knew it, I was drifting off.
I look down at the ground underneath me as it rattles back and forth threatening to throw me to the ground. I was wearing light colored jeans and a long white sleeve shirt. I look to my feet, I have bright new white sneakers.
Suddenly I am thrown to the ground, as I hear a scream, it isn't mine but someone else. It almost seems like a little girl screaming, telling me she needs help. I get up, brushing off my pants, I look around but it is pitch dark.
"Hello?" I yell, my voice echoing, I am guessing I am probably in some type of cave. I start to run when the earth starts to shake again, and rubble starts to fall. As I run, I can start to see this obnoxiously bright light, I keep on running. But all that is going through my mind is the little girl screaming. I keep on running, trying to find her. "Hello?" I scream again, stopping and waiting for a response. I can hear her scream again, but it is softer this time. I look over to the light, that is probably my way out, no doubt about it. But I couldn't just leave the girl who is screaming desperately trying to get someone to save her.
More rubble falls, and I start to run. I start to run to the girl, her screams becoming louder. "Keep on screaming!" I yell as I run straight ahead, as rocks hit the ground. I cover my head as I can start to see her figure. "I am here!" I inform her. She collapses onto the ground. I have no idea what I will do when I get there, I don't have any medical experience. How could I think I could help her. Because I couldn't.
I reach the girl and kneel down beside her, holding her bleeding head in my hands. She slowly looks up at me, squinting her eyes, like there is some light blaring down at her.
"You came," she whispers. I nod my head, I feel like I knew her before but I couldn't quite make out her face. I press my hands harder against her head as I can start to feel her brain leaking out. Her eyes start to flutter shut, and her body relaxes. i look down at her, frozen. I can start to feel the air leave the cave. I remove my hands, wiping the blood off on my jeans standing up. The crashing of rubble stops, and the body disappears. I start to walk backwards till I hit the wall. I look around at the girl face glows on the caves wall.
"YOU KILLED ME!" Her voice booms, I scream, detaching myself from the wall and running back to the light. I can start to feel tears running down my cheeks. In her voice I found my fathers. I was in the house while he got murdered. I was up stairs, turning the music up louder as I heard him call my name. Except at that time, I just though he wanted to say he was sorry for yelling at me earlier, when It was really a cry for help. I was the second person who killed him. I worked with the killer, and my selfish mind.
I run faster as the light gets brighter, but the light stops glowing and it get hot. I look around to see I was being pushed towards a hug fire in the middle of a cement room. I turn around but don't get anywhere, and the more I struggled the harder it pushes me.
"Help!" I screech my voice cracking. But it was not like anyone is going to hear me. I am all alone. I can feel the fire burn my feet, as I am shoved in the fire, I give one last shriek, before dying.
