Mitch cuddled sleepily in the corner of his bed that was pushed to the wall. He wore a big beige sweater the enveloped his tiny frame. He had light pink socks on that came up to the knee and were edged with lace. His hair was messy and he had on black rimmed glasses. He sipped coffee from a mug with his initial on it as he watched the sunrise. He rubbed his eyes sleepily and grabbed a blanket, cuddling up tighter to the empty wall. He stared out into the window in front of him, his body begging for more rest. "No, stay awake, it'll be better for you" He told himself, trying to resist the urge.
He moved over to the small couch in his tiny apartment, grabbing his remote and turning on the tv. He flopped down onto the couch and grabbed his phone. He logged into his Instagram and updated with a quick selfie and a basic caption, most likely something he saw from someone else. He then closed out of the app and went to his email, being an upstate photographer, he got a lot of emails. He opened the new ones and replied, locking his phone and turning off the tv.
He got up and walked into the kitchen, opening some of the cabinets and staring blankly into them before deciding to go out. So, he went to his room, taking off his socks, and putting on tight black pants and short black boots, and he walked back into the kitchen. He grabbed his keys and purse and left the house, walking out into the bitter wind.
He wrapped his arms around himself an shivered as he walked through the the deep snow to his car. He cut his car on and let it heat up for a second before pulling out of the driveway.
                                        _
He arrived at the small cafe on the corner a few blocks from his place. He entered and shyly walked up to the counter. He noticed the barista was very cute. He was a tall blonde with a beautiful, sparkling smile. He turned around and Mitch happened to catch his eye. "hi" he whispered, smiling. They looked deep into each other's eyes before Mitch realized he must've looked strange. So, he placed his order and walked over to the opposite end of the bar to wait for his coffee.
When his drink was placed on the bar, he picked it up. On the side there was a small note "the names scott, your cute by the way. call me sometime" Scott's number was written afterwards. Mitch shyly looked up and Scott winked at him, making Mitch giggle.
As Scott turned around, he bumped into another barista, making him spill the drinks he was carrying everywhere. His faced turned a deep shade of red and he rubbed the back of his neck in embarrassment. Mitch picked up his drink and quickly walked to a booth in the corner. He pulled out his phone and entered Scott's number. He smiled at the thought of him. Scott was charming, so Mitch was proud of the accomplishment. He then placed his phone face down onto the counter and slowly sipped from his drink as he slowly began to day dream..
