~Chapter 7: Music Box~

Valentines Day

You pull up into the offices, parking your car. When you reach for the handle you notice a note on the door.

'Dear Y/n,

To find me you will have to go threw some puzzles. Good luck!

Love From Ross!'

You smile widely and open the door. No one is there.

"Hello?" You giggle.

You enter the nearest door. Tim-Tim was standing behind a table with a big smile.

"Hey Tim!" You laugh.

"Hi Y/n! To get out of this room you have to solve this puzzle!"

"You know I can just walk ou-"

The door slams shut behind you.

"Oh." You laugh and roll your eyes.

You look down at the table to see a piece of paper. The table covered in hearts.

"Here." He hands you a pencil and eraser.

"Thanks."

You grab a seat from the corner of the room and look at the questions. The questions all related to you and Ross. When finished you hand it to Tim.

"Let's see..." He pulls out the answer sheet and compares the two "All correct! Once the doors open you can proceed to Jin's office!"

"Yay!" You laugh.

A minute later the door opens and footsteps are heard running away. You laugh then exit and go to Jin's office. He stands behind a table that's covered with everyone from the offices face. You laugh again. The door behind you shuts.

"Hey Y/n!" He says.

"Hi Jin!"

"Now, this test is all about everyone at the offices. Here's a pencil and eraser."

"Thanks Jin."

Once done you hand it back to Jin. He gets the answer sheet and compares them.

"You got two wrong."

"What? Which ones?"

"It's Jake's age and what date the Sky Offices came together. Both very close though!" He hands the paper back.

"Oh, ok."

You look at the answers and change them to what you think is the answer. You hand the paper back to Jin.

"Correct! Go to Barney's office now, Adam and Barney are waiting." He smiles. The door opens up.

"Ok! See you later Jin!"

You walk into Barney's office. Adam and Barney stand there with huge smiles. You walk up to the table. It's covered in Ross's face.

"Hey guys!" You laugh.

"Hi!" They both say.

"This is last ones!" Barney says.

"And it's about Ross. So you better get them right!" Adam smiles.

"Ok." You laugh.

Barney hands you the pencil and eraser. You take them and grab the paper on the table.

"Thanks."

You sit down and take the test. Once done you hand it to Adam.

"I'm sorry but you got them all wrong." Adam frowns.

"Adams!" Barney yells.

"I'm kidding," he laughs "all correct!"

"Hurrah!" You laugh.

"He is waiting for you. But you'll have to follow the trail." Adam says.

"It starts outsides the door." Barney points to the door.

"Ok, see ya later!"

You walk outside and see a trail of rose petals leading the way. You laugh.

'How did they do this in that time?" You laugh.

You follow the trail. It goes all around the office. When its in the kitchen the walls are picture of you and Ross. Then it leads you to your car. A sticky note is on the front.

'Johnson Park'

You smile and hop in your car. You drive to Johnson Park and see Ross sitting on the swing. You smile widely and hop out of your car. He stands up. You run to Ross and tackle him with a hug. When you finally let go you peck his lips.

"Happy Valentines day." He hands you a gift that's wrapped up.

"Aw Ross!" You hug him again.

"Here, open it." He hands you it.

"Thank you." You kiss his cheek.

You unwrap the gift. Inside was a music box and a bracelet. The music box was a nice silver colour. It played 'You Are My Sunshine'. The bracelet had 'My Only Sunshine! Ross + Y/n' engraved on it. You tear up.

"Do you li-"

You cut Ross off by hugging him tightly. He laughs and hugs back.

"I love it Ross. Thank you." You step back.

"I'm glad you do." He pecks your lips.

You put the bracelet on, with Ross's help of course. And the music box in your pocket.

"I love you Ross."

You sit in the corner of the disgusting room. Adam STILL passed out on the chair. You grab the music box from your pocket. Turning the handle to play the sweet tune. You hum along to the tune while tears roll down your cheeks. You quickly wipe them and go back to playing the tune, over and over again. Then the door swings open. You panic and put the music box beside you with shaking fingers.

"What the hell is that noise?!" Your biological mother yells, slamming the door back into the wall.

"N-nothing."

"What's that?" Her eyes direct to the music box that is sat next to you.

"Nothing, I swear!"

She walks over to you. You try and push it under yourself but she pushes you away and picks up the music box.

"What's this?"

She turns the handle, playing the tune.

"Ugh, such horrible sound!" She throws it to the ground.

"No!"

You crawl over to it. It's still in one piece, luckily. But she takes it from your hands and throws it to the ground then stomps on it.

"NO! NO!" You cry.

The musical wheel has fallen off and the handle came off. You held it in your hands and cried.

"Now go to sleep!"

She exits the room. Leaving you to cry. That music box meant everything. You sit back in the corner.

"You are my sunshine... My only sunshine... You make me happy, when sky's are grey..." You quietly sing threw deep breaths.

You eventually drift off to sleep, singing the same tune over and over.
