Detective Flynn and Detective Halls were two peas in a pod however their recent escapade to Etopia, a local club made Detective Flynn question their friendship of course in a good way.

"Learn to live a little Jacob! When can you get a chance like this. A club during duty." Derrick Halls shouted through the loud pounding music.  Jacob chuckled.

"Right. We're on duty buddy. Shouldn't break protocol!"

"It's just you and me. What could happen?! We're two very good looking detectives, there's a sea full of girls, one or two shots won't mean us any harm. Its just you and me, no one else on the task force is here." Derrick was desperately begging his friend to loosen up. "Come on, plus we'll pass of like drunken teenagers even more."

Detective Flynn fell for his best friends plead. Both of them ordered a pint of beer and sat down by the booth all alone. So much for blending in.

A lady came sitting at their booth too. "Looks like you boys need some companion." Jacob looked at Derrick and vice versa. Jacob coughed. " We're good here miss. Just waiting for our friend."

"What's her name? I might know her." She shot both of them a flirtatious smile.

"Alice." Detective Halls offered.

The look on the girls face was blank. She was startled. No one in the club knew that name unless you're one of the dancers. " How do you know her? She quit a long time ago. Never heard from her until you mentioned her name."

"We're looking for her. Friends from school told us she works here." Jacob continued to fake his story.

"You see, no one here likes Alice. She was the only one of us who managed to get out of this hell hole and do what she likes. Most of the dancers here don't even get to pay rent. But she just left without saying goodbye."

Looks like someone was pissed that Alice finally found her dreams but someone else took pissed off to a whole new level.

------

"Oh what a wonderful night!"

" Yes, wonderful indeed."

"Do you ever think that we'll end up together."

He turned to look at her. "Aren't we already."

The play ended. Everyone clapped. Both the actors gave a bow and the male lead looked at his partner contently. They were an on screen and off screen couple. The connection was real. Everyone wanted to watch them act. Everyone loved them. Everyone except him.

He despised the attention they gave each other. He despised the attention they gave their audience. They needed to be his only.

He brought both bouquets of flowers he got previously and walked to the backstage of the theatre.

He knocked on the door. Flowers for you ma'am. Wait. I have flowers for both of you. Just sign her please.

The girl looked so happy. The man happier for her. They smiled at each other. As cheesy as it sounds, he wanted to have a relationship like they had. It made him even mad.

He walked towards both of them. Pulled out his bag and placed it onto the girls head. Within 10 seconds of struggling she fell to the floor.

The man cried for help. But everyone was too busy to care. Their P.A was outside handling the press. The other actors left right after the encore. Everyone was where they were supposed to be.

He placed the bag onto his head and straggled him like he did with the girl. This time his hatred fueled his fury. He was envious of him. But now he'll be envious of him.

Happily he walked out with the plastic bag in hand and the fresh roses remained on the floor unharmed.

Just like that Broadway's power couple Regina Henly and George Quinn died right under everyone's attention.
