Thunder booms through the sky and lightning shines through the window. You wake up suddenly and sit up. You can hear the rain hitting your window. You look around. Where are you? You're lying on top of thin white sheets in a white room with a dirty-looking curtain around your bed. What is going on? You start to wonder. You throw one leg over the side of the bed and then the other. You stand up and grip the bed sheet so you don't fall over. You feel very light, as if there's no weight, no pressure on your legs at all. You feel as if you're floating. You let go of the bed and look at your hands. And your arms. And your whole body. You look faint, almost transparent. Strange. You think, but figure it's just your worn out eyes making you see things. You seem to be wearing a plain shirt and a long, torn skirt. You take a closer look at the room. It's a hospital room. You make your way to the door and wrench it open. It takes most of your strength but you open it and peek into the hallway. Luckily, you're on the first floor so you stumble down the hallway and past the main desk. No one is there. You open the door and leave. The rain seems to have lightened and all that remains is a big grey mess, so you sit on a bench outside of the hospital and try to remember what's going on. Your thoughts are clouded so you can't even remember your name. You stand up, stretch, and start walking. You don't know where you're going so you just walk. You walk for quite some time and manage to make it pretty far. You can't even see the hospital anymore. You look around. Everything is pretty plain. You're walking down a grassy road. You're long reddish brown hair is swaying slightly with the wind. You turn to the left and start walking towards a bronze gate. It creaks as the wind swings it slightly open. You squeeze through the gate. You look around and see tombstones. It's a cemetery. You zigzag through the stones, looking at the names. You stop suddenly and look to your side. It's a boy. He's crouched in front of one of the stones. His head is buried in his arms. His shoulders are shaking. He's crying. You step closer and realize he looks familiar. Way too familiar. Then it hits you. This is your boyfriend. You crouch down next to him quickly. You open your mouth to say something but you choke. Nothing comes out. All that comes out is a slight whisper. You try coughing and clearing your throat. You still cannot say a word. You put your hand on his shoulder, but it goes through him. You gasp and fall back. You look at your hand again. It looks even fainter then before. You reach out to touch his face but it goes through again. You choke out a sob and withdraw again. Tears stream down your face as you throw yourself at him, trying to hug him. You fall completely through. You try to scream his name but your lips just mouth the words. He shivers and whispers your name. You turn to him. You mouth him name, wiping tears. When you turn to look at him you see the words engraved on the stone. It's scratchy but you can read it. Tears stream down your face and you put your face in your hands.
