Dad?!" I shouted. I jumped off my chair charging towards dad and leaping in his arms.
"Rugrat!" He shouted. He kissed my forehead. "What are you doing here?" I asked him. He sat me down and mom and him gave eachother "the look". I hate that look. That's the exact same look they gave eachother when they told me they were divorcing.
"That's why I'm here rugrat. Your mom and I want to talk to you." He said. He took his jacket off hanging it up and taking a spot beside mom. "Are you here permanently? Do you have a hotel? Do you need a place to stay?" I questioned dad. He laughed.
"No Rugrat. Julie and I got a hotel a few blocks away." He said. "Oh! Julie's here? Can we go see her?" I asked. "In a bit. Sit down Rugrat, we gotta talk." He said.
Mom gave him a pat on the back. "You take it from here Robby." She said. She quickly stuffed her Starbucks tea in her mouth. "Thanks Pamela." He said sarcastically. "Rugrat. I wanted to know if..... If ya....... Ya wanted to come to stay with me in London for a bit." He said.
I gasped. Yes! A million times yes! But mom. And Corpse. "I can't....." I said. They both stared at me. "Why not?" Mom asked. "Because of you and Corpse." I said. "No baby! I want you to go! I didn't know how to tell you, but then your father offered you to come with him for a bit. I'm going away to a army base to help injured soldiers and people for two months. I didn't want you to be all alone here, so, I thought maybe you'd want to go with him." She said.
Army base? Don't people get killed there? "Mom!y you could get hurt!" I shouted. "No baby! We're out of the fighting zone, were just helping the injured. It's just a couple hospital buses and doctors going. It'll be fine!" She said.
Okay but Corpse. "But what about Corpse!" She said. "Corpse will go with you!" Mom stated. Great! I will go!
I smiled. "Okay!"
