Callie pulled onto Bobby's yard. She parked her '67 Camaro, and went up to the door and knocked. Bobby opened the door.
"Girl, I haven't seen you in a while. Where you been doing?" he said as he let her in and pulled her into a hug. Callie smiled
"Oh, you know, the usual. Just had a couple bigger hunts that took more time." Bobby nodded "Well I've got two other hunter coming that you should meet. They'll be here in a bit."
Callie nodded "Maybe I'll just slip out for a bit then, until they leave."
Bobby shook his head "Why don't you want to meet other people. I just don't get it."
Callie shrugged "I just never trust people like I used to, so I just sort of distance myself from others."
Bobby nodded "Well, these two are pretty good, you should at least meet them."
The sound of a car pulling up to Bobby's house stopped Callie from replying. Callie stood up and grabbed her bag. "I'll just go put this in the room."
Bobby nodded "No stalling!"
Callie laughed "What? Me stall. Never!" She was up the stairs where the door opened.
A couple minutes later, Callie made her way downstairs. "Bobby, I'm hungry." she said as she walked into the kitchen. Bobby chuckled "I'm making burgers." Callie nodded then looked at the two familiar faces sitting at the kitchen table. She raised an eyebrow "Well ain't it a small world after all." Dean's jaw opened and closed, trying to find words to say. Callie walked to the fridge and grabbed a beer and took a swig from it, and sat down across from them.
Bobby sat down with the burgers and Callie grabbed one and took a bite. Bobby said "So, I take it you three already know each other?"
Callie nodded "We were hunting the same nest of vamps, and they walked in as I was finishing up on the alpha."
Bobby nodded and took a bit out of his hamburger.
Dean grabbed one and said "You can seriously kick some ass there, I can only imagine what you can do when you're sober."
Bobby gave Callie a look. "You were drunk when hunting? Dammit girl, how many time does it take for me to get it through that thick skull of yours?"
Callie shrugged "I was just fine Bobby."
Bobby shook his head and took another bite from his burger. "What have you boy's been you to lately?"
Dean swallowed his food and said "Everything that comes across our path."
Bobby nodded. "Well, I've got some more cases if you want something to do."
Dean shrugged "I don't know, maybe we'll just stick around for a bit, take a break."
Bobby nodded again. "Alright, I have some other hunters that I know will take them."
Callie stood up and said "I'm gonna go...do something." and walked out of the back door. Dean gave Bobby a questioning look. Bobby stood up "She's probably gonna go work on her car." Dean nodded and walked out the back door.
Callie was working on her car in the garage. Classic rock was blaring and she was under the hood of her '67 Camaro. Dean walked up behind her and said "Well nothing is more pretty than a girl under the hood of a car." Callie stood up and grabbed a rag and wiped her hands. She smirked "Well...that could be debatable, depends on who you talk to." Dean smirked "You want help?" Callie chuckled "Not really, but I have a feeling I'm gonna get it anyways." Dean grinned and stood next to her "So, what are you doing?" Callie chuckled and turned around and started working again "Just making sure everything is in order." Dean nodded and started working along side Callie.
They were out there in the garage for about three hours working and talking. Callie slammed the hood "And I'm golden." Dean chuckled. "You wanna grab a beer, take a walk?" Callie laughed "Did you just ask me out, Winchester?" Dean's neck started turning read with blush. Dean let out a slow nod. Callie chuckled "Sure, why not, I ain't got nothing better to do today anyways." Dean smiled.
They ended up sitting on one of the old car's hood on Bobby's yard. Callie was leaning against the windshield and took a drink of her beer. Dean sat next to her. "So..." he paused. Callie raised and eyebrow waiting for him to continue. "What made you start hunting?" Callie swallowed "Well, a demon slaughtered my family. It was mostly my fault, but he got in, and it was a blood bath. I would have been dead if it weren't for Bobby." Dean nodded "How old were you?" Callie sat up "I was six, I saw the life drain from my four year old sister. That's an image that you can never get out of your head, I still have nightmares. I've been trained my whole life. I knew all the monster before I knew the alphabet. Knew how to load a gun and shoot it before I could walk." Callie shook her head "And I forgot to lay a stupid salt line. You know what that feels like, knowing that your family could be alive, but you messed up?" Dean pulled her into a hug "It's not your fault, anyone could have forgotten to lay the salt." Callie shook her head against his chest "But, that's what cause them do die, Dean. I feel like i basically killed my family. That's why I don't do relationships, cause I'm gonna screw up, and they're gonna die. I can't handle that." Dean held her tighter "I know what it's like, I was raised like a solider of my dad's personal army." He kissed the top of her head "I'm here if you ever need to talk, alright." Callie looked up at him and gave a weak smile. "Thanks Dean."
