Her eyes fluttered up to his chocolate brown ones. She got lost in the state and he had to snap his fingers in front of her face to get her to stop daydreaming.
"Sorry I spaced," she lied.
There were questions she wanted to ask him, like was he happy right now? Why did he think she was cute? But most of all she just wondered why? He was silly, funny, kind, loved to game, straight forward, loyal and trustworthy. His glasses accentuated his face and despite his braces, his smile could still stop traffic. She didn't know why he would choose her even though he could probably get any girl in the school. Maybe even the world.

Don't get me wrong, it made her feel special but it also set off the other thoughts in her brain. The negative ones. The doubts. Every relationship she ever had has went wrong for her in some way or another. Honestly, it still didn't make sense to her. She gave them her love, why wasn't that enough? Her first boyfriend only cared about her body and showing off to his friends. The second cheated on her and then left her for TWO other girls. The fourth left for another girl and lied about it. And the most recent was the cherry ontop, he sexted her best friend during the relationship. That day she lost her boyfriend and her supposed trustworthy "sister".
So what was William's reason for wanting her? Why was he here? Did he know he was playing with her heart?
Tears were streaming down her rosy cheeks and she didn't know when they had started.
She didn't know why she had agreed to this. What happened to the shield she remembered putting up?
He patted her shoulder to try and comfort her and when she didn't respond to that, he grabbed her hand.
Her eyes shot up to look at him again and she knew her cheeks were probably tinted pink.
Everything went off in her mind right then. Telling her to back away, to let go of his hand. Telling her that this wasnt going to work, that he was fooling her, that this was wrong. But she couldn't bring herself to do it. She liked him too much and she missed this. She needed this.
He smiled at her, concern evident in his eyes.
"Come on stop the waterworks. What's wrong beautiful?"
He asked in a soft tone.
"I was just thinking.." She managed to get out.
"About?"
"Why you really brought me here. Why you really asked me out. It's hard to believe it's so innocent or so truthful. I just mean—"
She was cut off. He was immediately objecting to her thoughts.
"Stop right there. What do you think I'm going to do? I don't lie. I like you a lot. You are beautiful, kind, funny, like to game, loyal, trustworthy, happy and mostly not afraid to be yourself. I don't know what or who made you lose your confidence but I swear I would never treat you wrongly. I want to be the man to give you what you deserve and appreciate you."
She took a leap of faith and rested her head on his shoulder. She liked him more than she intended and decided that maybe, just this once, she would let her guard down. Let herself enjoy the moment.
He rested his head on hers and they cuddled for a moment.
When she lifted her head up, he put his fingers under her chin and made her look directly into his eyes.
"You believe me right?"
"Yes." She answered.
He stared at her and smiled as he brought his soft lips to hers.
They brushed against hers and slowly moved in sync. It got more passionate and he started to push her down on the cushions of the other seats but before it could get any more heated she pulled away.
They sat back up and cuddled through the rest of the movie.
God please don't let this backfire. She thought.
