Chapter Twelve

"Why didn't you tell me?"

    Primrose's Point of View

     Dana and I both turned to see Alessandro standing there with a hurt expression.

"Well, maybe it's because you kidnapped me? I'm sorry that my first thought wasn't telling you my life story," I stated sarcastically.

"Yeah, but you told my mother."

"Maybe it's because she's one of the only people who showed compassion towards me, have you ever thought about that?" I spat.

"Y-yeah, but m-maybe if you told me then it would be different!" He scoffed.

     Just as I was about to reply back, Dana spoke,

"Will the both of you stop nagging? You children will never learn."

     With that, Dana got up and left after telling me that our conversation would continue later. Alessandro just stood there, staring down at me as if I had done something done. I rolled my eyes and got up, making my way towards the house. Pretending like everything's alright makes it all better. I don't have to deal with the fact that there was a world I once knew outside of these premises. I continued into the house, making my way to find Matthew when I was stopped once again by an arrogant, nosy mafia boss.

"Why do you keep walking away from me?"

"Maybe because all you're gonna do is make me feel worse about myself that I already do."

"Where's the feisty Rosie everyone saw when you attacked Ida? Where did she go?"

     That comment Alessandro made caused me to stop and re-evaluate the situation. I turned back to look at him to see that he was beating me down with his dark green-brown eyes. I took a breather before replying.

"She wants to be gone; she just wants to be the shy little kid she was before she got into this big mess."

     I couldn't help but lose all the confidence I had in me. Trying to be tough and fitting in wasn't for me. Alessandro stared hard at me, like it was as if he was trying to figure out if I was lying or not. Just as I was about to continue, Chase appeared.

"Hey! Where've you been? We've been trying to find you, you little savage. Come on, let's go find the other guys." Chase trailed on before grabbing me and dragging me away with him.

• fast forward to a couple days later •

     Today, I have officially been gone for a month. No word about me going missing had shown up yet, but I lost hope a long time ago. I've been avoiding everyone lately, trying to get some thinking time. Matt and I were still together, but it's been very distant. Alessandro and Ida were still together surprisingly, and the rest of the crew was the same. There has been no drama for the past couple of days. Avoiding everything helped, but at the same time, I knew that it was all still there.

     Matthew and I were going out today. We needed to talk about our relationship, and of course catch up a little. I was left alone with Acacia and Dana for a good week while the men went out for business. Once they came back, Matthew and I were still distant with each other. It was like as if a big wall was placed between us, breaking the bond we first had when we starting dating.
