The first thing I notice as I walk into the small café is the small brunette worker that I've come to know as Jaehwan, being pulled by the wrist into a strangers lap.
"Sir, please let go of me,"Jaehwan says, obviously trying to stay calm.
"But it's obvious that you like me,"the man said, nuzzling into Jaehwans neck,"I can tell by how you smiled and winked at me."
"Sorry sir, I do that with all of the customers though,"Jaehwan responds while struggling to get away.
You can't just stand here and do nothing, I think quietly to myself. I decide to walk over and solve the problem myself, seeing as how Jaehwan wasn't strong enough to fight back.
"Jaehwannie, are these men bothering you?,"I ask walking over to where Jaehwan was struggling with the man. I gave him a quick look that said please just go along with it.
The mans grip on Jaehwan visibly loosened and he took advantage of that and quickly pulled himself out of the other mans arms and made his way over to me.
"Yeah, they are actually,"he says to me, his face only inches from mine now. The next thing he does is puts his hands around my neck and crashes his soft, warm lips into mine. As if it were instinct, I wrapped my hands around his waist, pulling him closer to me. I feel him put his hand on the back of my head and lean in more while pushing my head closer to his, trying to deepen the kiss.
I know what is going to happen if we go any further so I almost immediately pull away. I can tell he is embarrassed by his actions by how he is blushing and looking down.
"Wow. Flirting while you're in a relationship. That's real loyal,"the man scoffs as he gets up with his friends as they prepare to leave the café.
"Thank you for coming to Cutie Café! We hope to never see you again!,"shouts Hakyeon, if I remembered the tanned baristas name correctly, as the men leave the café.
"Thanks for helping me,"Jaehwan says shyly, still looking at his feet. He begins to blush even more when he says,"I'm sorry for what I did. It was uncalled for really but I just panicked and that's what happened."
Cute, I think before I say,"You're welcome and its alright because I probably would have done the same thing also honestly." And you aren't that bad of a kisser if I do say so myself. I wonder what else those lips are good at, I think to myself, internally smirking and then hitting myself for having those thoughts.
"I don't know how to repay you for doing that,"he says quietly and looking up a little bit, looking extremely cute while doing so.
"You could start by telling me your name,"I respond smoothly.
"My name? It's Jaehwan. Lee Jaehwan. But I thought you already knew that seeing as how you called me 'Jaehwan'nie earlier,"he replies quickly and cutely. I don't know what it is but everything he does is just cute.
"I read your name tag,"I say, not mentioning that I come in here every single day when it's his shift,"and my name is Kim Wonshik. If you were wondering."
