Chapter 37

Jaxie pov

" Jaxie I'll see you on Monday. Don't let Zayn touch you on the flight back " Harry said hugging me tightly outside the air port.

Our trip finally was ending to soon if you ask me because I definitely wasn't ready to talk to Zayn.

"Thank you Harry for being here for me" I smiled up at him.

"I'm always here for you Jaxie. Now hurry up before you miss your plane "

"Bye Harry "  I said waving and walked into the airport. 

I spotted Zayn immediately and as soon as he saw me he got up and walked towards me. I just walked right by him not even giving him the time of day. I don't need this right now I just want to go home.

"Jaxie..." Zayn said from behind.

I just kept walking and put my luggage onto the belt. Then I started walking to my plane. I knew Zayn was following me I could hear his shoes squeaking against the tile floor.

I took the window seat on the plane and quickly plugged my head phones in. Zayn just watched me sadly which caused my heart to hurt. I hated to hurt him like this but I just couldn't deal with this. I ended up falling asleep.

I wheeled my luggage outside and stood by the curb looking for a taxi. I saw Zayn whistle beside me signaling a taxi. Once it came he opened the door for me.

I left my suitcase for him to put in the trunk me slid into the back. A few minutes later he followed but kept a space between us. I could feel his eyes on me though.

We pulled up to my house and I quickly jumped out hoping to avoid any conversation with Zayn.

"Jaxie I want you to be mine again"

"I can't right now Zayn"

"I know but you never let me explain "

"Zayn stop"

"Okay I'll see you Monday Jaxie " he said looking down.

"I'll see you " I said and shut the door.

I started dragging my suitcase up to my front door not looking back. I knew the moment I looked back I'd go running back to him.

"How was Rylee and her family?" My mother asked as soon as I walked into the house.

I almost forgot that I told my parents I was going on a ski trip with Rylee and her family.

"It was really fun but I'm exhausted from all the skiing. So if it's alright can I go to bed now?"

"Oh of course. Just make sure to make time to tell us all about it tomorrow"

"Night mother " I said dragging my suitcase up the stair case.

Once upstairs I tossed my stuff down and sat on the floor opening Max's cage.

"Did they take good care of you Max" I said holding him on my lap scratching behind his ears.

"Your daddy made a big mistake while we were away " I told him and I could feel tears start to slip out of my eyes.

"It's okay though we don't need him " I said sniffling

That Monday when school started everyone was going crazy over a new transfer student. I guess whoever it was they were important.

"Class I'd like to introduce our new student Mia Cheuvront. Come in and tell us about yourself "our home room teacher said.
