Joe heard Jack finishing off his newest Q&A in the other room. He had been attempting rap god only a few minutes before, horribly messing up and laughing it off. Joe hadn't realized he was particularly listening to Jack as he ran around the faction server, Skycade. He also hadn't realized he had a slight smile on his face.
"Also, one more quick announcement!" He heard Jack continue, "Becky will no longer be appearing in my videos. Sorry guys, but that's how it is!" Joe heard the awkwardness creep into Jacks voice, if it was even possible. He ended his video after another few words, and Joe heard silence.
He typed goodbye to everyone on the server, standing up and looking at the minecraft title screen as he set his headset down. He walked towards the door and down the hall towards Jacks room. He opened it, seeing Jack with his head on his desk. He quickly looked up, immediately putting a smile on his face to cover it all up.
"Hey, Joe." He smiled at him, and Joe felt his heartbeat slightly increase. He sat on Jacks bed, not wanting his knees to give out over Jacks smile. It was only recently that his feelings for Jack had skyrocketed, although they have always been there. During the time they were reading fanfiction for a video, they were supposed to go into a kiss scene. He remembered how he kept trying to snatch one from the handsome devil.
"Joe?" Jack asked after a moment of silence. Joe was snapped from his daze, looking up at Jack, his hair slightly messy.
"Oh, sorry, hey." He quickly said awkwardly. He had never lost words on what to say to Jack, and wasn't sure what was overcoming him. "Are you alright?" Joe then questioned, remembering how Jack was when he first entered.
Jack rubbed the back of his neck and avoided eye contact for just a moment. Joe wondered if it was the right idea to pry at Jacks private life. "Yeah, I'm fine." Jack told him, standing up and stretching before sitting next to Joe on the bed.
"So what's up?" Jack asked him, "we should record some Hunger Games later, we haven't done that in awhile. Or some factions if you're up for it." Jack was smiling again, and Joe tried to hide the smile on his face, failing.
"Y-yeah, let's do it." Joe stuttered, feeling a blush cross his face as he glanced at Jacks lips.
"Are you alright, lad?" Jack asked Joe, as Joe had asked Jack before. Joe quickly nodded, looking away. "You sure? You can tell me anything, you know." Jacks voice got more caring and soft.
"Well, actually..." Joe began, but stopped, not sure what to do. Since Jack and Becky had broken up last week, he had been tempted to confess to Jack. "You won't hate me, right?" He whispered, wondering if Jack could even hear him at this point.
"Joe, of course I won't." Jack told him, putting a hand on his shoulder. Joe felt his heartbeat racing now, and thought that Jack would be able to hear the pounding through his chest. He had never gotten this nervous around him before.
"I think I really like you." Joe whispered, looking at the ground. He felt his face go completely red. He waited for Jack to laugh or get up to leave him. He waited for the anger or hatred. But none of that came.
"Joe..." Jack whispered, and Joe glanced up at Jack, who was smiling. Joe bit his bottom lip as he stared into Jacks eyes. "I... I love you." Jack whispered as he pulled Joe into a kiss. After a moment they pulled away, both of them having smiles on their faces.
"I've been wanting to tell you this for so long." Joe said quietly.
"I really wish that you did." Jack laughed, kissing Joe once again.
