SPENCER

I woke up from the loud ringing of my cell phone. I looked over to the clock and it was currently 3 am. I remembered dragging Rebecca back from the party and I could see her in deep sleep right next to me. I looked over to my phone and saw it was the one and only Daniel. I decided just to answer it cause he would not let it go.

I got up from my bed and walked over to the window. I left it a bit open since it was hot in here at night.

"Hello?" I answered and I waited for the argument that would begin any second.

"How was the party?" He asked immediately. I bit my lip to try to hold back any smart comments that would just add more fire.

"It was okay." I simply replied and I heard him breathing heavily.

"Spencer Evelyn-"

"I just went to have some fun, I wasn't going for anything else. I need to make friends here Danny." I defended myself quickly and he sighed.

"I know babe but the only friend you should have better be girls. I don't want you interacting with any boys at all." His voice now changed like it usually does when he is demanding something.

"Daniel for the millionth time you're he only boy for -"

"If i find out that you're interacting with any guy that's not your step brother then-"

"Do you trust me?" I immediately interrupted him.

"Of course I do Spencer."

"Then let me live my life Danny. I deserve to have friends and im alone here, besides Rebecca, but im going to make friends with whoever i want and just because i have a guy friend doesn't mean im sucking their dick or anything, im allowed to have friends." I felt so proud of myself for a bit then waited for his response.

"You know what, fine, im going to trust you but you are to still tell me wherever you go and with who. You are to tell me everything that happens and i need to approve of whoever it is." He said and i rolled my eyes.

"Whatever Daniel, I'm going to sleep night." I hung up after that and ignored the messages i heard now blowing up my phone.

Once I woke up, i got some pain killers for Rebecca and then headed to shower. Rebecca and me decided to head out later to her house but for now, I had to shower to get rid of the horrible stench I had on me. I let Rebecca continue sleeping and I left her the pain killers and a bottle of water besides her.

I grabbed my phone and headed into the shower. I spotted a text from Daniel and it was our usual good morning texts. I quickly sent him one back and began to undress.

I began to shower and think for a bit.

I've been here for two weeks so far and it wasn't that bad. Even though Rebecca was my only friend here, I was growing to like Sebastian as a brother. I missed Emily so much and knew if she met Rebecca, they would get so along.

A part of me though, thought that coming here would give me a bit more freedom from Danny. It hasn't though, I still feel as if I need to ask for permission from him. I couldn't bring myself to break up with him. I worked too hard in our relationship, four years, and to have that go all to waste, I wasn't going to let that happen. I needed to find a way to get Danny to understand that I do love him and need to trust him. But just like Emily said, he was too possesive and this was going to end bad somehow.

I finished up my shower and dressed myself in a white tank top and just old sweats from my old school. My hair went up in a bun and I headed back j to my room to see Rebecca flipping through channels on my tv.
