As soon as I went to check on him, I wish I hadn't. He had torn my pillow open, causing feathers to go everywhere, torn my blanket to shreds, pulled clothes from my dresser and was now in the middle of using the wall as a scratching post.

I held my face in my hands, sighing. What the hell am I suppose to do with this kid. I want to be angry with him, but at the same time I know he's only acting this way because of Hanji's experiment.

So, instead of yelling or kicking one of his teeth out (again), I tightened his collar around his neck and clipped on his leash. After a moment of pulling him and him refusing to move, I finally got him to start crawling. "Oi brat, c'mon. I'm taking you outside." And as soon as I said "outside" his ears perked up and he was more than willing to follow me.

Together, we made our way around hallways and stairwells carefully so as not to be seen. We finally got outside and we walked out to a wooded area that I had visited a few times myself to be alone and think.

I kneeled down to his height, putting a hand under his chin so he was looking into my eyes, and I knew I had his full attention. "Now Eren, I'll let you off your leash, but you have to promise you won't run off anywhere, okay?" He smiled and nodded, his ears still perked up and twitching with excitement.

I carefully unclipped his leash and in the next second he pounced on me, knocking me to the ground. I let out a low groan and pushed him off me. "Brat, tire yourself out now because this will be the only chance you'll get to do it." With that, he scampered away into the woods. I rolled my eyes and decided to follow.

After walking around for a bit, I realized how long it'd been since Eren had ran off. He couldn't have gone that far...Where the fuck did he go? My question was soon answered when I heard a loud, echoing meow. But where was it coming from? I quickly scanned the area and heard the noise again. It was close but I didn't see the little half cat boy anywhere. Then, realization hit like a ton of fucking bricks. I looked up to the tree tops and there was Eren. On a tree branch. How he got up there is a mystery to me. "Oi, get down before I come up there." Instead of doing as I said, he shook his head and leaned against the tree trunk. "If you hurt yourself up there, I swear to fucking god..." Still, he sat there staring down at me.
I didn't have the energy to climb up and get to him, so I decided to wait him out.

An hour later, he finally decided to get down. As soon as he was out of the tree he crawled over to me, looking up at me tiredly and yawning. I immediately clipped on his leash and began walking him back to the Survey Corps. We successfully got into the building without being seen, but as I turned the hallway that led to my room, I was face to face with the Commander. "Hello Levi, I was just-....Any reason Eren's on a leash?"

I scoffed. "If you want to know, I suggest asking Hanji. Now, if you'll excuse me, I need to get into my room." Erwin didn't say a word as I pushed passed him and entered my room, dragging Eren along behind me. As I closed the door behind me, I unclipped Eren's leash and set it on my dresser. I spent a few minutes cleaning up before finally laying in my bed and closing my eyes. I felt Eren lay next to me, but didn't have the energy to say anything to him before falling asleep.

Later in the night I woke up. Something wasn't right. Looking around I realized what it was...Eren was missing.
