Spencer's POV

As I exit the cab, I walk towards the back as the driver is kindly removing my bags from the trunk (A/N; Boot/trunk - same thing). I look up towards the building and tell myself that this is truly my only option. I can't go back to the motel and I certainly can't go back to my 'parents' house. Paying the cab driver, I grab onto my suitcase and walk up the outside stairs to his apartment. Moving the duffel bag which is placed on my shoulder I place it down onto the floor in front of the suitcase and other bag. Taking a deep breath, I pluck up the courage to knock on the door belonging to the only person I believe who can help me right now.

Looking up, my eyes instantly connect to the ocean blue ones I once fell in love with all those years ago. A confused yet concerned expression plasters his face.

"Mind if I stay here for a while?" I ask softly, as if he could tell I have no where else to go he nods and pulls me in for a hug. Toby may have acted like a complete and utter jerk the last time I was here, but he always has my best interest at heart.Pulling away, I wipe away the final stray tears and go to bring in my bags.

"Spence, I'll get them, make your way to the spare room and I'll bring them through" Toby tells me as he smiles sympathetically. I'm going to have to tell him soon, both of the updates in my life.

After unpacking my bags in Toby's spare room and changing into different clothes, I walk back into the open room which contained the kitchen and living area. With my phone in hand, I walk past Toby who was sat at his desk and into the kitchen section.

"Want some coffee?" I ask loudly so he can hear me. I turn to face his direction as he nods enthusiastically. Filling the kettle up with water I place it back onto the lit stove.

Within seconds I feel Toby's presence behind me and his breath begins to raise the hairs on the back of my neck. I'm still upset with him over the last time I was here but I feel myself melting at his touch.Interrupting whatever was happening then, the kettle begins to screech symbolising it's ready.

"What happened to 'This isn't what I want anymore..' You don't exactly know what you want do you Spence" Toby says cockily, moving out the way as I turn round holding onto the kettle.

"I see your still holding onto the arrogant attitude. Don't think your off the hook with that one" I tell him sternly putting the kettle down on the kitchen island. "It was a conceited move" I finish, pouring the hot water into the two cups.

"Yeah, sorry about that, It was an interesting evening and morning" Toby replies sipping from his cup. I shake my head and grab my mug, moving into the living area and crashing onto the couch.

Its been a few hours since I've arrived at Toby's and its as if we've never been apart. We're sprawled on the sofa watching some random film with my head on his shoulder and his arm wrapped around me - just like the old times.

As I continue to watch the film, I feel Toby move resulting in me lifting my head up to question his sudden movement. Before I could say anything, Toby connects our lips together as he wraps his arms around my body.

"I'm sorry, I just couldn't just sit here with you and not do that" Toby says shifting his body away from mine. I look up, still half shocked, and giggle to myself quietly. I stand up and take his hand in mine, leading us to his room.

As I trace Toby's jawline with my index finger, I continue to ignore the constant ringtone coming from my phone. Trying to drain out the noise, I lean in and passionately kiss Toby.

"I think someone wants to talk to you.." Toby says, pulling away from lips.

Rolling my eyes I pull my t-shirt so its properly covering my body, and swipe right declining the call from Caleb. "Well they'll just have to wait".

Attempting to take my mind off Caleb, I clear my mind and turn back to Toby and resume what I was doing before.

We end the night, tangled up in the sheets.
